Going to happen eventually. £160m is a decent price really. I'd prefer to keep him another year, but if his mind is made up, City is probably the best place for him.

I’m ok either way. If he stays we have a world class striker on our books. If he goes we have loads of coin to spend

First thought - Good bloody riddance. He's been a right bloody Jonah in our quest for silverware.

Second thought - I think I've got severe sunstroke. I need to lay down in a cool, darkened room with a soggy flannel on my head and several cold lagers at my feet.

All the red tops going with the story.

Not too upset tbh - in the greater scheme of things in life.

Thats a lot of money. You could buy a lot of good players with that money.

Its probably bollocks as most things are. But if not, fair play to Kane, he's got to go with our blessings. Great servant. Stops him becoming a legend. But if he's OK with that I'm OK with that.

Even our football club could be better off if we spend the money wisely. There is absolutely no reason to think it's the end of the world if Kane leaves for an astronomical fee.

Who’s our next manager?

We are building a new team....makes sense for Kane to leave. Vlahovic as his replacement would be my choice .
Seeing that he seems to want to leave to win trophies, would he be prepared to accept the same wages from City?
Man City won the Premiership last year, Chelsea won the Champions League. Not only did neither of them not have Kane playing for them but neither had a high scoring centre forward. Chelsea’s top scorer only scored penalties.
Give me a front three of Son...Vlahovic...Insigne

The Sun reporter who has "broken" this story is a showbiz reporter.
Apparently with close connections to 'the Kanes'. She might have heard something from that camp, but it certainly doesn't mean that she knows all the ins and outs and that he will leave 100%.

I would rather him go to City than to Chelsea or Man United, that I could live with

We'll see how it pans out. But it's a huge issue for us to have the new manager come in and try to build good momentum without the goal guarantee that Kane brings. I have some trust in Nuno, but he'll need a bit of time and it'd be a shame for him if the short-term loss of the number 1 striker leads to a slow start and immense pressure.
