If it’s got to be anyone in the league, I’d prefer it to be City. They’re essentially just a footballing cheat code - a club who we’re nowhere doing nothing until purchased by the rich. Their achievements to me just feel hollow, they don’t really hold much weight.

Did he not leave for £100m a few weeks ago? I read somewhere he did. Maybe I’ll wait a couple of weeks for the £200m headline.

Oh happy Friday guys….
This is just rubbish, I was hoping this had all died down but obviously not, how on earth do we replace him?
We can’t, I’m so disappointed with him if this is true but I can understand that he wants to win things and quite clearly he isn’t winning anything with us.
I’m more worried about how my six year old is going to take this as I’m sure as hell not buying him a Citeh kit with Kane on the back, he can suffer the 40+ years of hurt like his father has had to, let’s call it a father to son gift…
We will do a lot more with 160 million than keeping him. He’s age must be taken into account. Let’s see how he gets on being used tactically rather than every week.

He will go, maybe for slightly less but he will move on. Kane has said, he feels he has a second career to fulfil.
I think this is just the club playing hard ball over the price and rightly so.

Sorry know this is Kane threat but Sonny just signed 4 year deal!!!! COYS

I do wonder if whoever put this out to The Scum knew Son's deal was also being announced today, and intended on undercutting the importance of securing an new deal for one of our top players.

£160m though, that's probably enough to secure the couple of players we'd need to replace Kane's contributions. I expect Levy to hold out for more though, both because it's Man City and because the more we can get the more it covers the rebuild.

Like most supporters I will be very sorry to see him go but it was always going to happen while we continually keep missing out on winning anything. Everybody deserves to get the most out of their life whether it's job or personal and Kane has given us 7 or 8 great seasons with some wonderful goals and we have been very lucky to have had him.
There is a lot of resentment that he could be going to City because they can spend what they like being owned by oil rich billionaires. City are a lot shrewder with their spending than many realise, they don't normally pay over the odds although they can if they want to. In the last ten years Chelsea and Utd have all spent similar amounts on players. City £867 mil Chelsea £860 and Utd £814 and surprisingly in that same period we have spent £720, the difference of course is the salaries they pay compared to us. They have all won many trophies in that time except for us. It's all about buying the right players at the right time with the right manager. Something, sadly we haven't done. Kane at 28 knows it's now or never and I don't blame him. If he does stay another year(although it doesn't look likely)then great and lets hope we don't waste this last opportunity and with a nearly new team he goes out in style with the title and who knows he might just stick around to the end.

We've tried it with kane, now we'll have to potentially do it without him. Lot's of teams have won major honours without a Harry Kane.

Pretty good price for him tbf considering age, and city are a nothing fake club so wouldn't be too fussed as long as the money is used right .

Saying that I'd rather 160 million plus whoever is the brightest talent in their academy. Make their club bleed a little

Its all bollocks apparently.
From what I can gather, the source of the info is a showbiz reporter for the Sun plus a report that it was at Harry Kane’s brother’s wedding. Both very unlikely.

I will maintain my view that Kane only leaves if City put up a world record fee, my guess is they won’t.

Who’s our next manager?

If he’s so keen to go in order to win medals, let’s see if he’s content to,accept the same money we pay him!!
Fat chance of that.
He is a great player but hasn’t always been a team player. A team player would have known he wasn’t fit enough to start the Champions League Final , both Poch and HK should have realised this.
When Jose took over I remember Jose interviewing him (Amazon documentary) and telling him he’d make him a superstar.Harry said that’s what he wanted. He takes free kicks despite being useless at them. Little things like that vastndoubts on him as a team player.
