If he’s so keen to go in order to win medals, let’s see if he’s content to,accept the same money we pay him!!
Fat chance of that.
He is a great player but hasn’t always been a team player. A team player would have known he wasn’t fit enough to start the Champions League Final , both Poch and HK should have realised this.
When Jose took over I remember Jose interviewing him (Amazon documentary) and telling him he’d make him a superstar.Harry said that’s what he wanted. He takes free kicks despite being useless at them. Little things like that vastndoubts on him as a team player.
Why would someone join a wealthier club and not take a pay raise? To prove a point?

I think most assists in the league last year says he's a team player to me. Seems your annoyance at him leaving has clouded your judgement.

Is ambition finding a club that will win you a medal, or winning a medal for your club?
Joining a top team and becoming a first team player that helps them win major honours is showing ambition.

It's a strange narrative many are conjuring up trying to make out Kane going to City shows a lack of ambition.

Kane wants to help City to win a trophy does he.

In my mind, he gets paid to do a job, which is to help a club win major trophies. Realistically, at his age, City are a better be to help him achieve his ambitions. Hopefully we'll get there but it may not be quick enough for Kane.

They'll win stuff with or without him. Winning something with Spurs would make him an absolute legend. Winning something at City would make him another (soon forgotten) name on a very, very long list. Standing on the shoulders of giants (especially plastic ones) doesn't show any great ambition to me. It's just a piss easy route to one of very few things he hasn't already got.

They haven’t won the CL. They want to dominate the league.

Competing at the very top is not taking the easy route.

Any opposing fan reading this bizarre narrative could justifiably laugh their asses off at how some of us are twisting this.

He has had multiple opportunities to step up and win his club (and/or his country) major trophies and he didnt show up. Now he wants to find a club to win a trophy for him.

Some people might understand that or call it ambition, but i am not being dishonest when i say i just dont get it. from a club legend to one of a conveyor belt of mercenaries through a doped club.

I'm not sure whether it's that he's as concerned with being a club legend at another club as having medals to show for his career.

Well, if he's intent on leaving (and as yet there's absolutely nothing to support that), he can wave bye bye to Jimmy Greaves record for us. I suppose he could come back and grab that but it would be a pretty cheap way of doing it. I'm past caring whether he stays or goes now to be honest since there's such a media clamour for us to lose him. As long as it's an eye-watering price.

Yeah I think that's probably how most people feel.

Would we want him back? I don't think I would, to leave for medals won with hollow victories and then come back to flaunt them? If he goes he can stay away for good.

I quite liked it when Teddy coming back. He didn't flaunt his treble medals when he did return, no reason Kane would.

I've now got this image of Kane walking around the pitch holding up his medals to taunt the crowd.

If I were to announce that I'm off to support Man City for a few seasons because I want my team to win stuff, I wouldn't expect to be welcomed back. As far as I'm concerned, you're in, or you're out and if you jump ship for selfish reasons, you're definitely out. I didn't want Bale back either.

But you deciding to support City isn;t a career move is it?

What a bizarre example.
