From what I'm hearing I still don't think he goes. We (again from what I'm told) are not looking to negotiate or compromise regardless of what stance Harry takes.
Good on us for standing firm but the situation will be disruptive so rather if city put in an acceptable offer we took it and moved on

There have been hundreds - nay, thousands of posts about our lack of trophies during the years HK has been with us, but has anyone considered the fact that maybe, he’s just unlucky?

And I don’t mean as in unfortunate - I mean maybe he’s bad luck. Maybe he’s an absolute kicking-thirteen-black-cats-while-walking-under-a-ladder-and-shooting-an-albatross-while-saying-‘Macbeth-Macbeth-Macbeth’-over-and-over kind of Jonah. Maybe it’s some kind of weird hoodoo whereby any team he plays for is cursed never to win anything with him in the side…

Wouldn’t that be a shame…?:sneaky:

FFP clear violations by City have only resulted in them paying small fines. So, to make Financial Fair Play Rules look the other way, they just pay money. No effect on them. Like letting a tax cheat continue to evade taxes by instead paying a small penalty. Joke. FFP was only ever designed to protect the established clubs and that is what it does. If Kane and Grealish come in and they are way over the allowable amounts, is there anyone who thinks that City will be kicked out of the CL (the punishment they should have already suffered twice). Love to see it but it aint going to happen.

As for Kane, if there is an agreement between Kane and Levy and if that number is met, he will be allowed to go - and should be allowed to go. Every player has a value. There is a value for Kane to THFC. It is a very large number. TransferMarkt number is nowhere near it. I figured it was at least150M. Perhaps it is more. If Harry is not showing up for training, he is trying to force someone's hand. Levy will not change his number. History states that pretty clearly. Im sure Kane is fully aware of that too. City is also aware of this. The number is the number and the negotiations will be with Levy for his number one player asset. Not going to be an easy deal.

Player swaps rarely happen which is why they are normally done as separate deals. Is there anyone who believes that there are City starters that will want to head out to Spurs? Perhaps, and it is a long shot, if Grealish is signed, the person who will lose playing time, may want to go elsewhere. The only players I could see who would fit our needs and who would be of the right age etc, would be Bernardo Silva, Ferran Torres and Jesus. I just don't see any of them dropping out of the CL to join Spurs willingly. Better to take the money and get someone who wants to come.

If Kane wants out, that's step one. There would be no discussions otherwise. So that has been met. Levy has a number and it is in THFC interests. So it is all on City. They will stump it and he will go, or they won't and he will stay

While I would love to have Kane for another year, I do not want a Modric/Eriksen situation where we have a player professionally going through the motions until he gets his move next year. Just get it done. Eke out every last farthing and start the rebuild.

Gollini and Gil in is a good start. Romero would be another good move. Alderweirald, Foyth, Lamela (whom I liked but was never a starter) gone is good. Let Sissoko, Winks, Aurier follow them out the door and we'll be on our way.

Kane domino really needs to fall sooner rather than later, regardless of the outcome. Up to City.

Watching Sky transfer show. The bloke outside the training ground clearly hasn’t spoken to anyone within the club. Lot‘s more “we expect” this and “we understand” that. Hilarious ?

If he was going abroad, absolutely. But he is trying to force a move to Manchester City. Man City!! They'd still be in League 1 if it wasn't for Thaksin Shinawatshisname and the corrupt Arabs! Joke of a football club.

Painful to witness this. Any other Spurs player I could handle but our and England's captain, top Premier league goalscorer and the boy we made great. It's a little heartbreaking.

I get you mate... I do. I've made peace with it. It's still going to hurt seeing him play there....but it's the irony of so many posters here getting hysterical at Kanes behaviour yet they treated players who've come through our youth system with such contempt....and I'm enjoying their meltdowns :ROFLMAO:

No, he didn't.
First off, they didn't bid over 100m and secondly, he didn't state how much over 100m that bid would need to be.
Let's face it, Kane having a storming season last year would've raised his price in anyone's book too.

TBH, if the info from Dragon is accurate I can actually understand Harry’s frustration. I struggle to understand why Levy would make such «promise» at such a low figure though. What was in it for Levy to gain from it?

We should demand at least £180m straight cash from City.

If they insist on including Laporte in the deal, then we should, reluctantly accept Laporte + £180m :cautious:

People remember what they want to remember and normally what it suits them to remember, no one knows what was said,

Winks, Spurs through and through, goes to the press and bad mouths the gaffer. Kane, Spurs through and through, makes Levy kick Poch and doesn't show up for training, says he rather play with KdB than Son. Come on now. What meltdowns are you referring to?

Loyalty certainly does work both ways, but a club shouldn't be expected to show loyalty to a player by selling them for £50-100m below their market value. To do so would be disloyal of the club to its fans, its board, its shareholders, its coaching & management staff and the rest of its playing squad.
That's why the saying "no player is bigger than the club" exists!

I agree we must get our valuation certainly.

If he has skipped training it's not unlikely that he'll fake an injury to avoid playing against City in the first game. So we likely have no recognised striker ready to play in the first game of the season- hope we can get one in and beat them.

Things might get so toxic between Kane and the club that he uses Websters law next year meaning we would get just over £20 million for him. Would not put it past his brother.

With the super utmost respect to Dragon! We promised if any club in the world matched our own market valuation, we would not stand in his way. Funny thing is; citeh offered various lists of players and cash, to the value of 100m LOL. Then they spoke about different proposals, but to now didn’t offer 100m cash, which would of been rejected out of hand!!!
They think they're dealing with Stoke here?

He's not our captain...only vice-captain.

Utterly ridiculous. All bids have to start somewhere but that's a joke.

I don't believe Levy would have set a figure, let alone one that's not much more than we got for Bale, 7 years beforehand.
If Harry walked away with a figure in mind, it'll be one he thought of himself.
