People always talk about these big commercial deals our rivals have without going into detail about wha these actually are or why we don't have them. Could we get them?

Win regular trophies yes we probably could. Regular champions league has seen aia increase ours. City and Chelsea deals are dodgy as they are linked to their owners but there is no reason we couldn't get ones along the lines of arsenal maybe even liverpool although they do have a much bigger fan base.
Need regular trophies though. Businesses want to be linked with winners and all the positive publicity that brings.

That's not my job to know. That's for Mr Levy I'm afraid.

The one thing I do know is that unless we pay Kane and chums appropriately, they will leave, trophies or not.

There is a story tonight in the Guardian online, it is a complete mishmash fabrication of events of the last few days.

It unbelievably shite, I am not even going to put the link in here.

All the good stuff has been rearranged to read HK is on the way out. A total fucking lie.

Different strokes for different folks.

I've seen them both in their prime although HK's goals are in technicolor as opposed to JPG's from the terraces and grainy footage from another era.

A divine privilege for me and I am sure both players being proper gentleman of the Tottenham order would be gracious in their individual achievements.

Has a bit to go but if he carries on as he has he will be up there with him.

I actually think moving to somewhere like Real would be a massive risk for him. Everything is perfect for him right now. He can achieve everything he wants goal scoring wise with us. Trophies who knows. But would shearer really be viewed differently if he hadn’t won his 1 title with Blackburn I doubt it. People mostly remember shearer for his goals his England moments and his loyalty to Newcastle. Yes Kane would have a healthier bank balance but he’s still likely to make £40-60m in salaries alone with us by 30. If he moved to Madrid and the goals didn’t come instantly they’d be on his back big time. He’s not the most elegant player and very un Spanish. He may just be in the perfect place for him to become a club and country legend.

Shearer stayed with Newcastle and was the main man, Owen moved to Madrid and his career is barely even talked about. In many ways, he's seen as a laughing stock. Learn from the past Harry!

That's an unintentional poor choice of words considering Jimmys health issues...

Of course he's earned the right to be mentioned in the same breath. Kane is doing it in an era where everyone is not only technically excellent, but also a true athlete. That said, greaves' record is absolutely insane.

The stadium is financed by long term loans. We obviously have to be more circumspect than usual with a big infrastructure project but it shouldn’t affect day to day expenditure. With the increase in revenue this season from CL, TV money, sponsorships and Wembley gate receipts as well as the further increase next year when we move into the new stadium, we should in theory be able to increase our wage bill. Not to City levels but enough perhaps to tie down some of our better players.

Some guy from Sunderland did it in 101 games in the 20s . Not sure post war though. If Kane wins golden boot again will equal Shearer Linekar having won x3 . Greaves won it x6. This year would also give Spurs x12 wins joint top with Everton. The fact is if Kane stayed fit and continued this ratio he’d smash every record in the book and be the GOAT. Even Greaves 357 a European record till this season broken by Ronaldo but still obviously British record would not be impossible.

To be fair every player gets injured from time to time. How many would Shearer have if he'd stated fit for his entire career.

Wish the media could lay off rolling out the the 'can spurs keep him' story

FKIN
TIME
HE
SCORES.
Just have a breather, please for the love of God.
Just one game thats all I ask.
I mean change the record ffs.
WE GET IT OK???
YOU'R NOT SAYING ANYTHING NEW. ITS BEEN DONE TO DEATH.
STFU PLEASSSSEEEE :cry::cry::cry::cry:

I thought Shearer was quite fair the other day when he said that Harry will probably stay for another three years, but if we haven't won anything by then he might reconsider. Obviously Shearer was in a very similar position at Newcastle so he can relate to Harry's position better than most of the so called experts.

Yes, sincere apologies for the faux pas.

Greaves also lost 10 weeks to jaundice in the 65/66 season which probably cost him his World Cup place - but the rest is history of course.
