Just for some clarity - the same Sky Sports who yesterday managed to bring up for the second week in a row on soccer saturday the amount Levy gets paid to be Levy - only thing is the amount he gets paid had gone up by a million quid ....

You think they are a serious news outlet?

Have a fucking word.

Whatever you think of sky sports of course they are regarded as a serious sports news outlet. Anyway my point wasn’t that any of this has any credibility of course it’s nonsense. My point was kane has taken a battering and the effect it may have had on him. To think he is a robot and that none of this would have any impact in him is just naive imo.

Of course it has had an impact, but I'd guess not as much of one as some people would like to make out. Pochettino has said that Kane didn't expect this reaction and I'd guess that if a similar situation occurred he'd keep his mouth shut. But it's done now. Kane has always shown that he's got a strong mind and other than disappointment at how this has been received I'd be surprised if it went any further than that.

But then again, this is SC. Until the season is over, he'll be under the SC spotlight, every misplaced pass, missed shot or merest hint of an error will be down to the fuss this has created.

Naive lol.
Naive is thinking that a guy who has had people questioning his ability since he was a teenager, who has faced a barrage of abuse on social media from spotty virgins about the way he looks and speaks, would actually give two shits what the twitter arm of Sky fucking Sports says.

Get a grip man.

And as for the bold bit, see my previous sentence.

This thread has got seriously embarrassing over the past week, and not because of anything Kane or the club have done. He deserves better than this shit.

I think it’s telling that a lot of Spurs fans who spend their time on the Internet and more notably social media put his performance down to him sulking about getting the piss taken out of him.

Yet at the match last night I didn’t hear one mention of it, only observations that he’s clearly not fit and sharp.

Truth is he hasn’t been in the best of form in front of goal for a while. Still good enough to keep up a decent scoring rate, but not at the level he was earlier in the season.

His all round game though hadn’t dropped. Until now, because he’s clearly not fit or sharp and with Kane that’s a massive part of his game.

It's one game since the incident and we lost to the best team in the country.
How on earth could you possibly come to the conclusion that it's had an effect on him?

It’s really wound up one of my Liverpool supporting mates so I’m all good with it.

And for "fans" to keep bringing it up is just making it worse. FFS leave it alone, and lets get on with trying to get 3rd.

Yeah because not supporting the petty and pathetic is more embarrassing than the petty and pathetic.

Kane decided to become a distraction when we could least afford one.

Kane did nothing of the sort - the media did.

You're a hoot.

o_O You seriously think Kane thought well i've not touched that but i am going to tell everyone i have and detract from everything i have built up to the detriment of the team...

He touched the ball (if he says he did that's good enough for me, as i have seen nothing to prove he did or didn't) and is rightly claiming his goal, everything that has come after is due to jealousy from other teams' players and fans (some of which happen to belong to media outlets)

I'm sure they'll all be supporting him for a few weeks in the summer before going back to bashing him again or trying to get him sold.

It's laughable how much this has been blown out of proportion. Obviously a slow news month.

Harry always needs 3 or 4 games to get going after a lay off. Should be playing against Brighton which will set him up for the semi final. Hence the no goals in August scenario. Looked well off the pace last night

Some days I admire you dedication to chronic pessimism yankspurs. Other days I just sort of pitty you.
