In terms of the Kane starting thing: if he starts it's difficult to know what that means. We've had countless transfers where the player we're on the brink of signing gets a game for their club when the deal is 90% done, there's a collective meltdown on here... then we sign the player soon after anyway. Would be weird to risk him if, as suggested, we've agreed a deal in principle though.

On the other hand, if he's not involved at all I think we all know what that means.

We need someone to register on Bayern Community immediately (and probably open Google Translate in a separate tab), in case Harry Kane starts.

Ambitious to sports wash their regime’s reputation, certainly.
Sure but alongside that ambitious to win everything and they're succeeding.

Our owners are no angels either by the way .

Edit - I genuinely can't remember which one owns them. Is it Bahrain or Abu Dhabi?

I agree. Though given the size of the deal, one would think that playing him immediately before the transfer is a larger risk than with smaller deals.

Easier when you’re backed by the wealth of an entire country. It’s certainly not some happy coincidence that the club with the wealthiest owners in the league (before Saudi bought Newcastle) are the most successful of recent times. Same with Abramovich and Chelsea before them.

Of course no billionaire owner is an ‘angel’. There are levels to this shit though, as has been done to to death in other threads.

Of course, money talks although according to Levy it doesn't.

But you replied to a post about ambition and they certainly have it, that was the only point I was making

While I get what you’re saying and theirs countless examples of players playing in a friendly to leave a few days after you’d think in a £100 million plus deal all precautions would be taken and he’d be wrapped in bubble wrap.

Yeah you'd think so but football is weird and I'm sure I've seen this happen right before massive money deals before, and in competitive games too.

Always a chance Levy is still playing chicken, the deal's not fully over the line and he wants to make a point of showing Bayern that Kane's still a Spurs player to squeeze out a few more quid.

A lot of people being very bitter towards our greatest goal scorer and one of our greatest ever players. If he’s going let’s give him a good send off & move on.
