Harry Kane's latest interview on his Tottenham Hotspur future read like a 'back me or sell me' ultimatum to his chairman Daniel Levy. The 27-year-old's conversation during a round of golf with Gary Neville for the Sky Sports pundit's new YouTube channel The Overlap was often fair and balanced, will have been understood by many Tottenham fans but also on a couple of occasions was slightly naïve or perhaps misguided.

Can you imagine the uproar from Man United if Pogba was doing interviews with Jermaine Jenas like this before the season had even ended?

Harry is still pocketing £200,000 a week from us and he does this! Worse still, Ryan Mason and Levy say nothing about it and Kane will still probably play tomorrow. This just isn't how you run any kind of football club. Weak, cowardly and humiliating.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

The idea that Kane is somehow responsible if the team doesn't qualify for the EL is a bit laughable though. What about the other 36 games where the team has mostly been abject?

Look long before Mourinho took over at Spurs he called Tottenham "the Harry Kane team".
He is a once in a lifetime free pass and could walk into virtually any club in Europe.
He is making it clear he wants to move known as getting your retaliation in first (for any Irish members here you will recall this from the Lions tour to SA).
He knows how Levy operates so he is making his position clear.
Nothing at all is going right for the Property Developer now.

Didn't Pep say that? Maybe Jose did too.
