I don't think he'll ever be the goal threat that he is, but there's a touch of Radja Nainggolan about how Harry Winks plays. In terms of the goal scoring, that's probably got a lot to do with how much freedom Radja has to get forward for Roma. But, that quick turn of pace, how the ball sticks to his feet, the ability to strike the ball with both feet, to distribute quickly. the tenacity off the ball and just the way they look while on the ball. I see a lot of similarities, personally.
TBF, Nainggolan didn't score more than 2 goals in the league in 1 season in the top flight until he was 26.

He has a decent strike on him, even with his left. If he starts to chip in with some goals from CM that will be invaluable to us next season.

He is dangerous when hanging outside our 18 yard box, when the ball gets cut back to him he can shoot or play a decisive pass though on goal.

He's the hier apparant when Dembele hangs his boots.

People forget that Ballbag's doing a biography on Pochetinno and he's probably spoken to people close to him who have been raving about Winks, I wouldn't be surprised to see him the England squad at anytime next season.

Closet thing we've had to Carrick's passing range since...err..Carrick.

Yeah, although usually a bit of a blow-hard, Balague could well be worth listening to regarding all things Poch and Spurs in the next year or so while he's writing Poch's biog.

I wasn't having a go at the guy, just struggle to spell his name.

It's Balague isn't it?

Has there been any news on was serious Winks's injury is thought to be? Is he expected back for the start of pre-season?

He's a Spurs fan living the dream. Really modest as well, I think he'll stay with us for a long time.

That's what makes me love him even more as if he reaches the heights that he should he'll be first choice in or engine room for a number of years and will be difficult for other teams to prise him away.

I bet he's had that since being at school. Poor guy must be sick of hearing it.
True, but there comes a point where you can throw that kind of stuff back in people's faces. Plus, when his playing career is over, he'll make a fortune endorsing all manner of soft furnishings and over the counter remedies...

Blimey hes had a nice easy life if that's all.

I went to school with a bloke called dave monk. His first name obviously changed to Harry and by his final year most of the year didn't even know dave existed. Even the teachers called him Harry.

Even he got off lightly really. I remember getting called bludclart and pussyhole fairly regularly

Oh the good old days

Not got much to do with it imo .im talkin about the way he moves with the ball .And tbh wouldn't surprise if winks ended up as a 10 or wide AM .I think he can pretty much play anywhere in attacking third apart from DM or striker .just floating around
