bury a guy based on anonymous info on the internet....
Well, there's a couple of sources that have said similar and when coupled with Hugos statement, some of the things Jose and others have said, not to mention Winks' performances this season.
It's not a far stretch to make.

Edit. In fact it's far less of a stretch than trying to blame Levy of some kind of smoke and daggers, conspiracy to slur!

man that's a bit intense --- perhaps take a breath.
The article was a simple response to:
"The Madrid game at home he was very good and then who else did he “run the game” against at Champions League level"
Winks may (a) be a bit of a shit (b) regressed (c) never reach his potential
but why on earth would be pretend he wasn't a really good player at a high level?

And as for the Levy part - why is is that every time there is a build up of pressure on Baldy someone else is the villain?

But frankly who gives a shit.

Levy is here.

He ain't going anywhere. Best people like me get used to it.

I've watched the fewest games live this season than any since the very early 1980's - the end of the 2017 season seems like decades ago....

I don't need to take a breath. I'm perfectly calm.

I genuinely couldn't give a shit about Levy but, if I did, I'd do something crazy like, oh I don't know, post in the Levy thread.

I just found it rather bizarre that, somehow, in a thread where people are talking about the merits, or lack of them, in Harry Winks & his seemingly bad attitude, You felt the need to drag Levys name into it.

What's Winks, or the discussion about him got to do with "Baldy"? (don't know why having no hair is an issue for you, either).

These are the same sources who told us about Eriksen's wife? etc, etc, etc.

There's quite a lot of confirmation bias going on here.

I remember Winks coming through and ALL the comments were about his humility, willingness to learn and work hard.

It almost seems like someone is making this stuff up...

No, the Eriksen's wife stuff came from the cesspool that is twitter. These comments have come from long serving, trusted members on here so there's quite a big difference - plus, I don't think anyone on here actually believed the stuff about Jan, it was just a bit of a piss take.

As with all such things, it's all got to be taken with a pinch of salt but it does certainly fit in with the current picture.
And yes, when Winks was coming through he received a lot of praise but that was some time ago now and things change.

I don't believe there's some kind of fabricated witch hunt going on but if you do, then that's your perogative. We're all free to come to our own conclusions.

No, this is coming from ITK’s on this site. The confirmation bias would seem to be on your end trying to conflate the information with inflammatory rumours from twitter in an attempt to defend his character.

Thing is with young footballers that are all pretty much like that. The problem for some is they establish themselves in the first team, get international caps and become entitled.

When things aren't going well instead of going back to what got them there in the first place(hard work), they go to the press. They bang on the chairman's door and get their agents involved, because the fact they aren't being picked every week can't be their fault they are an international on a 4 year big money contract.

I think I’ve said this before too. Apparently he could have easily become a billy big bollocks getting in with the Essex crowd and dating the love island / TOWIE level celebs. Poch wasn’t too happy with that lifestyle but fortunately he didn’t go down that path. But I can see now that he has potential to be disruptive internally.

Can't find it now but a certain poster mentioned that it came from his cousin...could be rubbish but as I say...I dont think there is smoke without fire
Eh?
What smoke? You've said yourself it could be rubbish?

Without a source/link, then it's certainly 100% rubbish.

Harry reminds me of Tom Huddlestone in that he would have thrived by going to Italy or Spain rather than seeing out his career at Spurs.
He's a damned fine passer of the ball and with both feet which is rare even at this level. His entire game is built around moving the ball and the opposition.
He's not physical enough to play as a holding midfielder or as a pivot which means he is useless to Jose. He's been horribly exposed this past year and I'm not surprised he's been affected.
This rumour mill is typical of the way a player gets undermined when they are struggling and peddling these rumours says more about us than the player.
I had hoped he might have gone on loan to Valencia as he had the option to do but any possession based team on the continent could do worse than him. Passing sideways and backwards is actually what you do when you are trying to manipulate an opponent and exactly what we used to do with Poch where all our penetration came from moving the ball from flank to flank, waiting for the opponent to open up, lunge rashly or turn their back on a danger man as the ball moves away from them.
I loved those Madrid games. They couldn't pick him up and as they tried to press him centrally he'd calmly push the ball out the flank and start another phase of attack. We were absolutely dominant but we rarely tried it in the PL where we had physical domination from Dembele to fall back on.
It's worth noting that he also shone as a No.10 for England. He was sorely missed for his calmness and ball retention, so vital in internationals, when he was injured as he frequently was.
I thought he would push on and develop into a No.8 but he doesn't have the physique or speed to do that but to rubbish him because he can't play like Hojbjerg is to overlook what he can do. If we stick with Jose, he needs to go but, despite his current form and the amount of time passed since he was last able to show what he can do, there will be managers all over the continent who will happily take a punt on him.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if those who want him out are the same who wanted Poch out or Jose to replace him. Maybe that comes from a frustration at not winning anything with Poch that makes us resent possession based football and, by extension, a possession player. Who knows. We've had some amazing moments with him and he's Spurs. He deserves a little more respect than he's getting right now.

Huddlestone was head and shoulders above winks in terms of ability.
