Works both ways. Players were very disappointing in such an important game.

Players looking nervous does clearly rub off on the crowd.

nervousness and it is always flat until the players get us going, rightly or wrongly. We react to what is going on on the pitch.

I was at the game (south lower) it was absolutely buzzing down there for most of the game and we clapped the players off

We started off well but the crowd didn't ever get into it. I honestly felt it made the players complacent. That atmosphere really didn't feel like a team going for the title. Even when they eaualised, there was still 20minutes left but it was silent.

I was just about to create the same thread.

In the East Upper, there were probably 10 people making noise of the thousands in the Shelf.

I know it's a product of modern football, but I simply don't buy less than 1% of a stand being genuine fans.

Not putting it on the support, but the reality is that the crowd simply didn't have heart or desire to lift them team.

I'm often surprised by comments about the crowd on here when I get back from game. The talk on here after the Swansea game was of how incredible we were. I thought we were much better tonight. Not saying we were bad then but...

I thought there was actually a bit more singing than usual and we clapped the players off at the end which I thought was decent.

Perhaps if the ticket prices were lower, real fans could go. Even when we were leading 1-0 people looked bored.

I find the insinuation that people who can afford a ticket/season ticket as not "real fans" either naive or insulting. Happy to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Bored, or tense? I know which I was tonight.

I remember when we were shit we didnt have such entitlement in regards to having a decent atmosphere

It seems some people are too posh to push

Was at the game. Atmosphere was decent but the performance was nervy and the more WBA came into it the more nervy it got.

Since Harry the atmosphere hasnt been the same, there have been one or two games but the fans have been shit in general especially when you compare it to the Jol era or even the early Ramos era

The last time we had a truly great atmosphere, Ledley Kings testimonial

First half tonight especially thought the atmosphere was pretty decent, even immediately after they scored the crowd rallied. Certainly earlier in the season there were games where we, the crowd, were quiet, sometimes even toxic with the whole booing bollocks.

Atmosphere's across football are not what they used to be. I just don't think tonight was particularly noticeably poor.
