Still not seeing it. Being anti semitic means having an issue with Jews based on their religious belief. Calling the religion itself bigoted is not having a go at the people but at the religion. Besides I was under the impression Kezman was a Christian and not Jewish himself

No, it isn't, but the term 'anti-Semitism' (or Antisemitism, if you prefer) has referred exclusively to anti-Jewish prejudice for about 150 years now.

Me and my good lady have been married for 35 years. When our son was about 8 or 9, I said to her, I think he's going to be gay. And he is.
No background to be different, nothing in any of our genes. I love him to bits. But I get it.

I knew a kid that was gay, he was 5 years old. He played with dolls dressing them up etc. he wouldn't play football or out in the street with the rest of us etc. by the time he was 20 he was a true "queen" completely effeminate, the voice etc.

The point is, I don't think you can say it comes out around the age of sexual maturity, everyone is different.

Sexual maturity is also subjective though, regardless of sexual preference. I am heterosexual, and in reception class I was fully aware about my sexual desires. I may not have known they were sexual, but I certainly knew I liked girls in a different way than I like guys.

Yes it is. You can argue that it refers to people of Semite heritage or who speak a language evolved from a Semitic one but ultimately the current understanding of the term "anti-Semitic" is in reference to Jews.

You know that phrase, " leave it, he's not worth it mate" ? Normally I'd say that was a load of bollocks but having had the thrill of talking to mornstar before I'd have to say that, in this case, it really is the best course of action.

I wasnt aware you asked me any questions personally as before your question i had made no comment on the nature/nurture debate however I thought my statement made my stance quite clear : I havent got a clue because there is no hard evidence that sides with one side significantly more than the other.

Of the two close friends I have who are gay, one of them was sexually abused as a child by an older man, and one is an identical twin with no history of abuse (and his brother is straight).

I think there are many different ways people can end up gay and there's no proven right or wrong answer yet, though If I were to hazard a guess I would say it's not genetic, but is most likely triggered by hormonal balance - something that can be affected by lots of different things (There was a documentary about a guy who suffered a stroke and woke up gay).

If it were a genetic trait/switch, homosexuality would have died out a very long time ago through evolution by natural selection.

I am not talking about the one giving out a few, but there are a few that just seem to give it out to almost every post in here.
You can get your point across with out abusing the rep system.

All three topics are extremely emotive and deepseated and can be the subject of wide and diverse opinion.

Whilst recognising that members may hold strong attitudes towards these subjects and wish to debate their opinion with other members, it is in the interests of Spurs Community as a whole that we ask you to remember that just because a member may have a different view to yours, it is no reason to descend into personal abuse.
