After reading about Man City putting in a £32million offer for Berba, I'm starting to worry about him a bit now. Surely if we receive an offer at £32mil we will accept, we can buy another striker who can replace Berba for around £15mil from Europe...

It may be complete :bs:about Man City, but they have got Petrov, him and Berbatov are very good mates...

But there is the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea and Milan who are also keen on the Tottenham ace striker. So surely if Man City are preparing a £32mil bid, then we can use this to get the other bigger teams to offer more for him. We could then sell him for around £40mil!!!! :eek:mg:

With this £40mil, we can buy a great new striker costing between £15-20mil, a new centre back (£10-15mil) and a new keeper (£5-10mil).

with 40mil spent we get a new keeper, centre back and a new striker.

then we will have the £40mil 'war chest' promised by the board to give to Ramos this summer... then Ramos can be left to make some quality signings..

This would mean that we will still have

I have gone for 10-15 million. Purely based on the fact that I don't actually own him. I would like 15M in the bank.

City are welcome to bid whatever they want, Berbatov would never go there. He would only leave for about 6 clubs in the world but I would want 35 million for him. Oh and Milkman, we could never find a striker anywhere near as good as Berbatov who would be willing to come so despite the money, unless spent on a quality central midfielder, we would be massively more shit next season.

Realistically if he really says he wants to go just like Carrick it'd be in the intrest of the club to sell him rather than make a massive loss a few years down the line. And realistically, he'd go for about 25mil.

Levy won't sell for less than £35 million, maybe £40 million. That would definitely be the price for a British club, and given the ever more severe credit crunch, I doubt the Glazers can afford that kind of money. Berba won't go to Man City - they probably won't be playing European football next season. Chavski are his likeliest UK destination, but given the bad blood between the clubs, I'd still demand £50 million plus Joe Cole. And a very fine goat....

Milan probably don't have the money, and Berlusconi may only be able to afford to resign Shevchenko on the cheap.

Real Madrid are the likeliest Spanish destination, and if Berba insists on leaving, Ramos may accept a deal for c£30 million plus a couple of top players.

But I'm pretty sure that, for Don Juande Ramos, there is one uber-untouchable at Spurs, and his name is Dimitar Berbatov. So, I'm very hopeful that we will see him gracing a Spurs shirt next season as well.

When Berbs leaves in the summer we'll be looking for 30+ million.

Unfortunately very few clubs will be able to afford him but If Drogba leaves then those bastards certainly can.

The scum would not let us have Diarra and Chelski would never let us have Robben etc.

Our club on the other hand are too stupid and motivated by money not to sell to 1 of the clubs we are so desperate to catch up.

If we are to sell him in the summer then I can only hope there will be a bidding war and he ends up going to Spain or Italy. The fall in value of the £ against the euro makes him more affordable now than 6 months ago to clubs in Euroland which does make it a little more possible they could win his signature.

Can we stop with these Berbatov threads? Or at least, wait until the summer? At the moment he's a Tottenham player and will be until next transfer window.
