He'll get my full support. I'm sceptical about his appointment but nevertheless, he's the Spurs manager and as such, I hope he does really well. I couldn't possibly understand anybody that hopes he fails. In doing that, you're hoping Spurs fail which to my mind is not why we support. As of last night, I sincerely hope he goes on and becomes a managerial legend.

Unless TaoistMonkey decides it's not in keeping with his personal preferences, then it will be deleted.

With all these snide digs I see you're fully on board with Sherwood's methods ;-) Unfortunately we don't have a mod position available for you :p

I like TM (even if he is on a bit of a downer about Sherwood). Just no point in @nidge saying one thing, when another mod contradicts the guidelines on a whim.

Point me to somewhere where TM's been inconsistent? All I've seen is him tidying up when people are bitching at each other and doing a sterling job of it. Negative comments on Sherwood are encouraged allowed :p

If I was a mod I'd ban everyone that didn't suit my agenda. Then again that's why I'm not a mod. Wouldn't mind those powers for a day though.

What you say @Rob?

All part of my five year plan ;)

Anyway...apologies. TM's a top poster/mod.

While you're here Rob, do you think Sherwood could still be a big success despite his apparent character flaws?

TM hasn't contradicted any guidelines on a whim from what I have seen. He deletes off topic/trolling posts which is perfectly fine as far as I am concerned.

Edit: I see @Rob has beaten me to it.

Don't mind me. I'm just in a mood because Christmas has been cancelled (at least for me anyway) :(

If the players respond to an arm around the shoulder and being told to "run around a bit" and to "get up at them" the he could very well be a huge success. It seems Ade clearly responds to that.

Unfortunately whilst I think that attitude will work on most of the dross in the EPL, we're going to get heavily schooled by the more tactically astute teams. The only hope there is if Ramsey has some real influence.

Given that he knows our youth setup so well and presumably knows a lot of the other upcoming youth players in Europe that could be a big bonus.

At the end of the day though he'll still be a ****, just like Arry was :-(

People may not like Sherwoods appointment (yes im not impressed)
I doubt very much any one wants him to fail, i dont.
Were in a good position to kick on and hopefully get top 4 and a cup.
For those of you happy with Sherwood, are you still going to be happy when Sandro returns and is not selected?
In the articles im reading Tim dosent want to play with a holding midfielder.
Where does this leave Sandro and Capoue?
Are you going to support him when we lose with no Holding midfielder?
This is just one my many concerns, but i will support Tim and the team.

He wouldn't have been my choice, but he's here now, so I'll be at games when I can and get behind everyone in our colours as per usual. That's how I roll...

I have never booed, or castigated a player live at a match, or even after the final whistle. I don't agree with boo boys as we are supposed to 'support' the club and don't see that negative approaches do anything useful. With that In mind come match day I will give unconditional support to Tottenham, which includes Sherwood now I guess.
However I think he is tactically inept/naive-may achieve some good in the short term but his 'up and at em, run around a bit approach' isn't a foundation to take us forward. He seems unintelligent from the little I've seen of him in the media. Even the win at Southampton left me with so much cause for concern given the obvious shortcoming of tactics during the match, if Southampton of 2 months ago had played us, we would have been ripped apart. So no I am not happy about his appointment and since AVB was sacked have jerked from disillusionment to disillusionment. Yet, I wish him all the best and want nothing more than for him to succeed. I really hope Ramsey is given scope to guide him on team selection and tactics.

Why have a negative slant on the reign before it's begun? If this flops so be it but let's give the situation the best possible chance to flourish. A change isn't always for the better but hopefully a sense of verve coming back to the team will inspire us. I think we will win the next two, it won't prove anything, but let's relish the upcoming matches.

He'll get my support. The club is bigger than everything else and he is now the head coach so onwards and upwards etc (y)

So this.

Continuity is the name of the game. Sherwood gets the nod, as did Jol all those years ago.
Sherwood would only take the job on a long term, not an interim basis.
He only gets 18 months though.

Six months later, end of season, review of season and de Boer becomes available....
