How would you feel about Becks coming back to Spurs?

Ben Alnwick is currently in our 25, so I would take anyone to replace him. Plus if he did join he could teach Lennon to cross the ball (well competently at least)

The guy sells an awful lot of merchandise which is very important with FFP coming in too

But next season we'll have to include Walker, Rose, Caulker (and Townsend) in the 25, so we'll be in the situation of needing to shift 6 to be able to buy 1 again. You just can't carry luxury reserves any more.

Always said Parker would be immediate deadwood and I'm sticking to it.

I don't know the ins and outs of the squad yet so I'll take your word for that, but the 4 you mentioned above could take the places of Pav, Gio, Alnwick - Livermore may not cut it. Gallas may leave, Corluka may leave if Walker comes through etc. Loads could change.

Obviously it's all about opinions of players, I still rate Beckham and would have him in for several reasons, the main one being that I genuinely believe he can still do a job in the PL.

Re Parker, how about giving him a chance before wanting him out as deadwood before he's even kicked a ball for us. If by January you think he's been crap, then spout off about him, but before he's played one game...?

I've now got this vision of Becks stood at a stall on Park Lane, trying to flog Spurs scarves and fridge magnets.

But we have 25 players in the squad...is it possible to jettison one and she another in half way through November?
If not, would he only be eligible for LC and Europa games?

I know this is anathema to some fans...but all that global marketing, all those additions to the global fan base, he would bring, would make it a smart move.
And, as said previously, this man is a living icon to a whole generation of young men. We attract some great young players now, but if we added Beckham to the coaching set-up in some way, almost every young talent would consider us one of the first places on their list of places to go.
These thangs could help propel us into a position where we could genuinely bein to compete at the top. For that reason, where I was once dead set against this, I would now be quite open to the possibility.

I'd welcome him with open arms, would be an amazing coup.

He would add such a presence to our team and is superb with a deadball.

For the PL neither Caulker or Townsend will have to be registered next season.

Parker is hardly an unknown though. He's been kicking around at the bottom of the league for more than a decade now.

I would be sexually aroused.

In fact, I am at the mere thought. Right now. Writing these words and thinking of David Beckham has made me sexually aroused. Don't judge me.

This is our 25 man squad (of which 8 must be Home-Grown, hence Alnwick):

1. Emmanuel Adebayor
2. Ben Alnwick
3. Benoit Assou-Ekotto
4. Gareth Bale
5. Sebastien Bassong
6. Sandro
7. Vedran Corluka
8. Carlo Cudicini
9. Heurelho Gomes
10. Michael Dawson
11. Jermain Defoe
12. Giovani Dos Santos
13. Brad Friedel
14. William Gallas
15. Tom Huddlestone
16. Younes Kaboul
17. Ledley King
18. Niko Kranjcar
19. Aaron Lennon
20. Jake Livermore
21. Luka Modric
22. Scott Parker
23. Roman Pavlyuchenko
24. Steven Pienaar
25. Rafael van der Vaart

From which it would seem we would have to jettison GDS or Kranjcar to make way for Beckham.

With only 25 slots and even fewer (17) which are available to players we transfer in, I can't see the point in Beckham at all. If he wants a position on the coaching staff that would be fantastic, but there's no way he should be taking one of our 17 squad berths over an existing player or a better transfer target.

He is exactly the kind of player Harry would love to sign.

Bottom of the league for a decade? Unlike you to exaggerate. (And seemingly you exaggerated the amount of players we'd have to register next season).

Whatever you have thought of Parker in the past shouldn't result in you wanting him out before he's even played for us, particularly seeing as he's the current player of the year. I know what you think about all your mates in the media playing up to West Ham, but facts are facts. He is a million miles away from the player you think he is.

Back to Beckham, someone has made a very valid point about the financial fair play thing. He could generate shedloads which would be very welcomed.

I think he'll train with us from November and we'll end up getting him on Jan.

£120,000 pw for someone who would be 37 by the end of the season?

I don't know how much we'd offer him. Neither do you.

On a marketing perspective he'd be a good addition.

Additionally help our younger players behave professional.

For the short-term it'd be great to have him around the place.

If a one year rolling contract was offered. I'd be delighted.

Pointless signing, won't improve team, all about Harry's bigger agenda i.e what is good for Harry. e.g might improve his chances of managing GB Olympic team.
