A girl I know is a season ticket holder at Loftus road and her and her family are mad Rangers fans

I was talking to her today about the final few moments of their game against Stoke

Basically (as you all know) they were drawing 0-0 and Bolton where leading 2-1 with both games approaching injury time, a set of results that with Man City away next would probably spell the end of Rangers' PL status

Then in the blink of an eye Cisse scores the winner for them with two mins to go and the place goes wild, just as the jubilation of their winner begins to settle news filters through that WBA have equalised at the Reebok in the 90th min and by all accounts the roof of the loftus roads stands were blown off.

It got me to thinking, in a season of mad twists and turns how perfect would it be for our season to end in similar fashion at the Lane?

Drawing 0-0 with moments to go and the Arsenal leading WBA at the Hawthorns only for an Adebayor header from a VDV freekick to snatch us victory in the dying mins before a late goal by the Baggies sent Arsenal in to fourth and us back where we belong in 3rd?

Worth a new thread just for this? probably not......but I wanted to share my half drunk delusions with my community brothers :p

The way this season has gone I suspect it would be the opposite. Concede in injury time just as Arsenal, Newcastle and Chelsea all score.

Bah humbug.

If we had won I would have nightmares of 2006 happening again but would prefer to be in that position

Whereas now we have to do a reverse lasagne gate on them, all we need now is a cook at a birmingham hotel

Know Spurs that will never happen. It's more likely we'll blow it like we did a few season back at Upton Park with egg on our face.

I keep thinking the team cant disappoint anymore. That surely we have had all the bad luck any team can have in a season already. Opportunities keep presenting themselves to us, us fans get our hopes up, and then cruelly we witness a refereeing shambles, a pathetic performance, or lady luck completely mugging us.

I have expected 3rd for most of the season, as my sig verifies. When Arsenal drew with Norwich I thought that was it, 3rd is ours. HOw silly of me.
In this season..... where the racist Suarez got to play in 2 cup finals, and the disgusting Terry has escaped punishment for his racial abuse, while winning one trophy, having another final (though he cant play), claiming the phantom goal against us when he knew it wasnt over the line, and being free to play in the Euro's having caused Capello's exit and ruining our season...... I can see no other outcome but for Arsenal to get 3rd and Spurs either to balls it up on Sunday or finish 4th and see Chelsea win the Champions league.

Having witnessed the season we all have, fate can onlyhave a sad ending in store for us Yids.

I'm expecting the worst possible scenario. That way I won't end up a gibbering wreck in a straightjacket banging my head against a rubber wall.

AM there's one thing wrong with your scenario, VDV will be off the pitch at the end so wont be able to deliver the cross for Ade.

It will be more like:

HT - Spurs 3-0 up, Fulham down to 8 men. Arse 3-0 down and RVP off injured. 3rd looks in the bag.

FT - Spurs manage to lose 4-3, Arse manage to win 4-3.

Newcastle lose of course to hand us 4th, but only because the footballing gods want to prolong the agony and watch us lose our CL place in painstaking fashion as Chelsea win the final against Bayern.
