Where are McKenna and Mills? Two of our reserve regulars and haven't been seen in any squad for a few games.
I suppose that's what Robbo, Andy Reid and Mido have been doing at training then. Don't forget all the pies too.
The problem with THudd is his lack of mobility rather than fitness or fat issues. He has too much bulk on top so its more likely that he need to lose some on top and gain some below. More muscle bulk on the legs to give him the strength for greater speed and movement.
Have you seen how broad Gerrard and Vierra are?
Hud is HUGE for a football player. No ifs or (fat) butts about it.
And the difference between us and Man Uts etc (who have the fittest players IMO) is when they bring on a fresh face they look in shape and dont fade.
Look at The Prince. He was not Prem level fitness at all and faded in the second. This would not happen under Furgie.

Hudds not fat, but his size does make him at times useless. For someone with so much muscle his bursts of speed are terrible. Doesnt need lose weight but maybe work on his running and sprinting, hsi size wouldnt be an issue if he had some mobility and speed.
height and weight wise he's not too different from Ledley and Ledley can catch Robben up even with a 25yrd head start Hudd will be slow at any weight.
it's biologically not in him... but hey! argue the point anyway.
Unfortunately those times often occur during football matches.
I think his speed and mobility are related to his weight. How tall was Viera? 6'2"? 4thegame reckons Hudd only weighs 11 stone 2lbs. I don't believe he's even under 12 stone!
When Dean Aston went to the Hammers he looked big, but they managed to slim his frame which improved his mobility and made him a possible England player.
The more I think about this squad the better I like, is this the hand of Ramos and Poyet, because to have Pekhart Rose Berchiche and Pekhart in the squad sounds great to me.
