Hulk set for talks with at least FOUR Premier League clubs as star pines for England move

Hulk’s agent will conduct an auction for the Porto and Brazil striker next week after admitting he is heading to England for talks with at least four Barclays Premier League clubs.

Teodoro Fonseca confirmed that the 25-year old’s sale was imminent, after Porto president Pinto da Costa reluctantly gave his approval, and that he intended opening transfer talks with his Premier League suitors in the next few days.

Chelsea are leading the way, as reported by Sportsmail, but Tottenham are determined to fight them for the signing, while there is also interest from both Manchester clubs and Liverpool.

No chance IMO! Has he not got a ridiculous release clause.

I fear Chelsea next season. They seem to be shipping a lot out so I think they are going to spend big.

Not as ridiculous as it was (80million, now 35? milllion, that is!)....

I don't think they can spend as freely as in the past, with FFP round the corner (they cannot surely keep paying the same level of wages). They will also have a new manager to bed in. I think Arsenal are our main competitors for third, which is a high as we can hope with the two Manchesters top two (unless United founder. Unlikely. But I'd 'absolutely love it'!)

Alas I fear FFP will be wildly ignored or gotten around. It will kep the mega rich clubs rich and the upstarts out of the equation.

I remember Porto saying that the large buy out clause is just there to make sure that they don't have to sell him before they want to, however that doesn't mean that they haven't already decided that the time is right to get some money now by selling him for around 30m.

They will spend big, Abramovich has more or less admitted he will green light a mega spending spree as he wants to enable the club can retain the CL. Plus the chief exec came out today and said the club can now compete with man city even more than previous.

The thing is it doesn't kick in for another 2 years at least and then it will start off with minor punishments and build up. Would be done considerable years before it ever got to the stage where a team would be expelled from Europe. Plenty of time to get deals done and play the system. Sadly thoughts that Man Shitty won't be eligible for CL in 2014 are wide of the mark.

I don't think he's anything special, especially at the prices quoted, but I do think his attributes would suit the PL better than any other league.

Not for us though.
