Best wishes to Falque, we gave him a chance but this one just did progress enough. Best thing for both parties. No talk of sale price as I am aware so it will be interesting to see what it comes in at.
Now we move onto the next one - we have a few !!

I pray he's off on this one. Would rather keep Falque than Townsend, honestly. More of a threat to actually create a chance and not shoot the ball in the stands.

Looks like we are selling him on a profit. For his part, he helped keeping Rayo up comfortably.
Now we are one more down on the foreign player quota.
If we bring in Schneiderlin, Rodriguez & Eric Dyer (just 20), I am sure we will comfortably clear the homegrown restrictions.

Only question then would be, which midfielder goes out to accommodate MS - my money is on Capoue or Holtby in spite of their good preseason.

All indications point to Sandro.

If Napoli goes for Fellaini , not sure which other club is after Sandro.

We will know the answer on Saturday. Whoever not in playing squad is the most likely answer

Roma have been linked and I am sure other clubs will be interested that haven't been linked in the media.

See Eric Dier thread for interesting facts about him not qualifying as home-grown.....

Anyone know the transfer fee? Can't open link as it's blocked at work.

The lad was never given a chance here. Thought he had some good technical skills.
Problem is with our huge squad is that he was very unlikely to have enough game time over more established players but he did look a tidy player whenever I saw him and out on loan at Almeria and Rayo (albeit, in brief highlights).

Anyhow, good luck to the lad and hopefully he does well in Serie A.

4m is a solid return, in my opinion. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a sell-on % in there as well, similar to what we did with Gio.
