Funny thing is that Levy is just a frugal version of Abrahmovic. Both are cases of owners getting way too involved in the football side of the club and football decision making.

And what proof of that do you have?

None. Thought so.

And even if you did, would it be a bad thing?

I love our lil' bald gremlin. He has done wonders for us.

(ps. not questioning you good man, just happen to be answering your post whilst trying to make a point)

(pps. Given the Holtby signing I could write any old wank right now. Nobody would pay attention!)

It actually winds me up that the media seem determined to ignore how well we have done breaking into a top 4 of teams that all pretty much earn double what we do.
Everton/Newcastle are pretty much the 7th/8th highest turnovers and are lauded for finishing in those positions.
We come 4th with the 6th highest turnover and no-one mentions it.
All I hear is that you need a sugar daddy to pump a billion pounds into a club to break into the top 4 yet the perfect example of this not being the case (Us) is brushed over. We've already built a state-of-the-art training ground and are embarking on a similar stadium yet still no-one seems to mention Levy and Co's achievements.

Even the lower placed clubs seem to tar us with the same brush despite the fact they are in the same position as we were a decade ago. No-one likes to admit that they could do exactly what we have done because it would make them look like failures so they prefer to go on about our spending power instead.

I, for one, am deeply impressed by what Levy has achieved and would take that every day over a rich owner coming in and making Tottenham Hotspur his bitch overnight.

I know what he is achieved but no one is above criticism, I remember all that business of going behind Jol's back to tap up Ramos. At the moment I think we have a good manager who could be our manager for many years to come. He has told by Levy to get top four, I feel he's come into the season with one hand tied behind his back and still has it tied behind the back. If he doesn't get top four I don't trust to keep him on. I think his expectations should be realistic, we haven't bought Moutinho, we lost our 2 best players, we only have two strikers, one of which may be going to the ANC, leaving us with one striker. I think it is amazing we have done this well so far.

Re the Jol Ramos point, I thought Jol was one of the best managers, if not the best, managers in our recent history. But he wasn't blameless. By all accounts he was soliciting offers from other clubs (Newcastle if I remember correctly) while under contract at Spurs.

As for AVB, I think you could argue that Levy's arm is tied behind his back by the fact that the club is, rightly, run as a going concern. Given that is so, we have actually done very well in the transfer market IMO. We do however need a good striker desperately.

Those who disregard any cup which is not the premier league or champions league and think they have an automatic right to be top four, I'm grateful to be in the Europa cup, let alone the CL.

Every club has idiots. We have a our fair share. Obviously if someone like Abramovich were to come along we would attract a whole new bunch of fans, some of whom could be put in the flaky category. As for the Europa Cup, I think UEFA is to blame for devaluing it, particularly with some of the CL non-qualifiers being eligible. Also it's wise to prioritise PL and CL as it's where the money is and how we could untie that "hand" you speak of.

Wouldn't follow us any more if that happened. Simple as that really. I'd always be a fan but wouldn't feel like a supporter anymore.
