Providing we ended up closer to the guys above us than below us, absolutely.

No chance. I will not surrender.

If we can carry this form into our next two games and take maximum points, we're well in the hunt for the title. This has been an incredible season, I would never 'stick'

Let's twist again, like we did last summer.

Yeah.

Like we did last year :eek:mg:

Good man, Kendall.

The worst thing that can happen, IMHO, is that we have to enter the CL via a play-off round. I am quite happy to risk that for a shot at glory (not that there is any reality to sticking now, and ending the season as it stands ).

No. It would be a great achievement, but it would take away the drama as well as the chance of glory. The final 13 games of our best PL season so far would be far less interesting if 3rd was guaranteed. Defeat to Arsenal would be almost meaningless and victory over United wouldn't bring us any closer to the title.

They are tough games, but Arsenal have to play us, City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle. And they have Champions league games. And they are losing Henry.

BANG ON MATE,, they got harder games than us. As spurs fans were natural worriers,LETS GO FOR THE TITLE,,,COYS

Yes, stick a poll on here and you'll get 85+% 'yes'.

Really? You really think 85% of SCers would take 3rd rather than risking 4th in order to possibly win the title - I find that truly shameful.

not a chance. i've been waiting over 20 years for spurs to be competing for the league.

it'd be the competitive equivilant of playing for a draw.

Yep those are tough games as well and I believe they will drop points.

With the form we're in, and the players we have, I see no reason to settle for anything at all at this stage.

I'm not saying we'll win the league, but when I look at the teams we have, United have, and City have, I can see us being more consistent. Both United and City just look more vulnerable to me. I might be wrong but the opposition seem to fear and respect us far more than either of the Manchester clubs. Since the first two games where we didn't have anything resembling our current team we've lost to Stoke (where we really should have won if the ref knew what the fuck they were doing), and City (where many agreed that we should have got something from the game).

I'll be gutted if we finish below Arsenal and/or less than 3rd, but I just don't see it happening. Our team are buzzing right now, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Absolutely 100% not.
No way.
It is highly improbable that we won't finish at leat 4th (pretty unlikely we won't finish 3rd).
On the other hand, we could win the title.

I absolutely cannot believe that, in this position, at this stage of the season, anyone would just accept 3rd now, rather than let it play out and maybe win the title.

The game is about GLORY!

I would go so far as saying that anyone who answers this in the affirmative, even if just in their own heads, should literally ban themselves from celebrating if we win the league
This.

Don't forget the glory.

I can see why many they would settle for 3rd, and tbh i am torn, but when have we last been in a position where we COULD actually win the title?
I think the way we are playing leads me to say no...fuck that lets go for it!!!

I dont think we can win the title, City will win it easily imo they have yaya, kolo and teves to come back in, they have bought the fucking thing but they will at least win it.
2nd I think is where we will finish no chance of 4th for me we are just to good to drop that many points more than the goons or the chavs.

I really can't see City faltering this season. I would rather we shore up our position and build for next year. We are only going to get better - they are only going to plateau.

I would love to be wrong and see City start dropping points, but I just can't see it. There is a chance of 2nd, I'll grant you that.

It made sense when I typed it. Now, in the light and relative sobriety of mid-afternoon, it doesn't make as much sense.

I suppose what I meant was that if we were to lose to Arsenal, we would know that we were pre-determined to finish above them for the first time in almost 2 decades anyway.

It doesn't matter since we will beat them at their place.

All that matters to me is champions league football and finishing above arsenal.

Anything else is a dream....
