Our biggest problem will comes if Harry gets banged up, followed by Modric leaving, Ade deal not being done on a perm and VDV getting injured. Add to that perhaps Bale off to Barca and we'd be in the middle of a full blown collapse at that point, but none of that is likely to happen IMO.

God now you've done it!

What you trying to tempt?! Sssh

If we win the league will all the people who slate Harry finally shut the f up??? Probably not....

if we don't even qualify for the CL will the bum lickers still sing his praises?

Redknapp has his faults and they were exposed last season when we should've qualified for the CL comfotably.

He also has his qualities as he has shown this year and in 09/10. Let people criticise, let people praise. It's why we have these forums.

I don't see why there's so much 'told you so' crap around here.

Because the amount of criticism he gets on here, even if it's from the very vocal minority, is completely out of proportion to the success we're currently having. The lovers are just trying to show the haters that we have it pretty fucking good compared to the last 25 years, that's all.

And so we should. We're a big club, with a big income and we spend a lot.

Those are the type of comments which give spurs fans a bad name... Our expenditure on playing staff is NOT in line with Liverpool, Man United, Man City, Chelsea or even Arsenal. So lets not be all self entitled.

Neither a bum licker nor a hater.
If we could replace Mr Redknapp tomorrow with a proven better manager who would guaranteed land us the EPL, I would say, go for it, hand Wobbly Chops his P45.
But I know that ain't gonna happen. I support THFC. Logically, therefore, I want the manager and players we employ to succeed individually and as a group (one normally entails t'other). You are right, he has his weaknesses as well as his strengths, but the balance is in the positive, hence our position and the high regard we are now held in. And, as Bomber says, the amount of unfair and inaccurate criticism he gets, and downright abuse at times, not to mention SCers specifically willing him to fail, so they can get their flavour of the month in, literally reaches the hysterical at times.

This isn’t an accident that we are serious title challengers....

The reason why we wont choke again is the spine of the club that we lost when Carrick, Berbs, King(Continuously injured) left:

King gets injured we now have quality to come in - Gallas, Dawson.
Parker gets injured we have quality to come in - Sandro, (Even Thudd)
VDV or Ade get injured we have quality to come in - Defoe.

What we have quietly done different this year without anyone noticing is we have got rid of the dross....

Bentley, JJ, Hutton, Palacios, Crouch, Gomes (Already off to cocko land) etc. and strengthened where we have needed to....

Ade, Parker, Brad. These were three key positions that we needed to add to and we have done it effectively. What we now need is a permanent solution to Ade a long term solution to Parker (Sandro?) and one for Brad and King (Kaboul is developing nicely)

We are a great balanced side and we will continue to win and if it wasn’t for City I would say win the league… We are stronger than united for me. Before we lacked consistency but with this bunch of lads we dont! a quarter of the games played and we haven’t lost a game with them all in the side.

Agreed. I mean yes the foundations were well laid for Harold (not the 2 points in 8 games but the bigger picture ) but he's still, on balance, done a great job.

Its easy to praise when things are swell and easy to criticize when things are going pear shaped....but there are some posters who remain pretty consistent and objective despite the emotional roller coaster, fair play to them

 Yeah, it's as easy as that. Forget City's and Chelsea's billions, forget Utd's dominance of the last 20 years, forget the fact that Arsenal haven't been out of the top 4 since the prem began and forget that Liverpool are possibly the biggest name in world football, who have only just become average over the last couple of years. We're doing better than we could imagine considering the wages we pay and our stadium capacity. We're currently fucking awesome (and have been on the whole since he took over) and a loss against W Brom won't change that. 6 or 7 losses in a row might, but lets cross that path if we ever come across it.

I don't think we will (this season at least) but if we won the league I would phone every fan of every other club that I know and just say...

'Can't talk now - we've just won the league!'

and hang up again before they could say a word.
I want to do this!:rofl:

Yet our starting 11 at the weekend still cost less than Fernando Torres :hump: (heard this but not actually double checked the figures )

At times like this I like to think back to Santini...
