Now, we all know in the heat of the moment, a few of us say some extreme stuff. Ive heard 'im done with football' 'ill give up my season ticket' etc. How many here know someone who has actually done that or have done that themselves?

People will say it but will always come back, I couldn't be "done" with Tottenham if I tried. Days like today I wish I could be though, but I'll be glued into the EL (a comp that I hate) and BT sport next weekend to watch our games hoping we're gonna rise from the dead.

Im Done!!

Wipe it up, ya filthy swine, i almost stepped in that.

And if anyone is done with Spurs and intends to sling their season ticket into the Lea, can you make it Thursday, around lunchtime? I can't borrow my mates wetsuit til then and i'll happily take them off of people if they honestly don't want them anymore (y)

I know someone who passionately supported Spurs for years, then gave up following football altogether. He had a few other things going on in his life and said he just didn't need the added misery.

Personally I'm very close to being done with football. Not because of Spurs, but because of corrupt teams like Chelsea making the whole thing a waste of time.

My dad had too in the 90s because I came along. Bet he was gutted with all that great footy back then..

What pisses me off most, is: we should be England's third team by now but Dirty Money means Man City and Chelsea are up there.

Chelsea should be a footnote by now and City should be a yoyo club.

No point anyone earning success.

Spurs until I die though.

I've always been a massive Spurs fan since I was about 5, but I don't think I've ever taken football seriously enough to get to the point that I'd 'give up' with it.

I grew up supporting us in the 90's, so as far as I'm concerned we're still in our glory years of my generation. We could be 24th in League 2 and I'd still love Spurs.

I try and ignore spurs for a while but can't stop looking on the web, forums etc. I'll still be looking forward to next Sunday. It will be time to put things right. Onwards and upwards.

I can see that becoming a trend for a lot of football fans who don't support one of the big clubs. Football is becoming more about whose billionaire is willing to burn the most money and can find the best loopholes to avoid all attempts to create a level playing field. Now there is zero chance of a team doing a '50-51 Spurs or '77-78 Forest.

Personally I don't see myself ever giving up on Spurs but that might change over the decades depending on work, family, etc.

As I posted before, I will be done with football if Arsenal win the league and we don't make Top 4

If challenging at the top of the table nearly all season then collapsing into fourth place and having champions league football ripped from you by chelsea winning the bloody thing doesn't end it for anyone then surely nothing will.

I guess when I say I'm close to being 'done', I mean spending so much time watching it, caring about it, and talking about it. I'll always be a Spurs fan, but there seems less and less point in being emotionally invested in a sport that is dominated by teams bribing officials and generally buying trophies.

As much as it pains me I'd rather Arsenal win the league over the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City. A successful Arsenal team gives us and other teams hope that a club that has to balance the books can compete.

Was at the game today.

Not the most enjoyable experience I've ever had, obviously.

Yet, perversely, it wasn't nearly as depressing an experience as most of the home games this season.

You see, I can handle embarrassing collapses from the team. I've experienced enough of them over the years - especially away from home. Just part of the rich tapestry of being a fan.

What I can't handle....what depresses me....what sometimes (and increasingly) makes me think, "I'm done" is the ever deteriorating atmosphere at WHL - be it negative or apathetic. It is anathema to me.
