I have had enough. It is not Erikson, or Erikssen, or Eriksson, it is ERIKSEN. It is not Saldado, it is SOLDADO. For goodness sake it is not Norton, it is NAUGHTON. You support the club, the names are on the back of the shirts. How hard is it to spell the players' names right? :banghead::mad::banghead::mad::banghead::mad::banghead::mad::banghead:

This angers me so much. We do not have a player called Verthongen, or Kabul, or Loris. We do have players called Vertonghen, Kaboul, and Lloris.

For the love of mankind, would you please just spell them correctly?

Thanks xo

Some of them can be forgiven, like when we first signed Pavlyuchenko (yes I did Google that) I couldn't spell his name correctly so just called him Pav. :D

I think we can make allowances if the name is long and Russian ;)

Lamella...Zakora...Gomez....Kancjar.

To a certain extent I actually find it disrespectful from fans that can't be bothered to learn how to spell the names of our own players. It also makes me question their level of support.

It's not about grammatical skills...these are literally names we see every week on the screen, in match day programmes, on the back of the shirts, and countless times on forums like this.

Oh, he has that Icelandic d-thing-

Some years back, I was convinced that Luka's name was Mdoric. I was in fact so convinced, that when I noticed more and more often a certain Modric reigning in PL, I googled to check whether he had changed his name to make it easier to grasp. I laughed at non-Spurs supporters for talking about this "Modric being that good" an all. So when we sold him, I had to reconcile with the fact that his name, sadly wasn't Mdoric. But Sheyi's name, that I can handle.
