Any idea why they are playing on Friday rather than the weekend?

And aside from games with Spurs players, some of the more interesting matchups

Belgium (young squad getting better) - Germany
Sweden - Hungary (two teams chasing Netherlands for second spot)
France - Belarus (can LeBlanc mend the rifts between the banlieues, the old and new, the stars and non...he's got a mess on his hands)

Basically the respective FA's have stated that when internationals are on a Wednesday, they don't get enough time with the players before a league game the following weekend. So this is why the window has been moved back to a Tuesday and hence why the Saturday fixture has been moved back to a Friday. Just means the f*cking Met Line is going to be carnage even more so in rush hour!!!

looks like England are still playing 4-4-2 defoe to start out of spurs players

As much as I love Defoe, I would've stuck with Gerrard off Rooney for this one. A.Johnson and Walcott on the wing. Milner and Barry in centre midfield.

SSN didn't show any line ups when I last looked, and i did think it was a bit early to announce the starting line up (but has been done before for internationals) but is Defoe starting confirmed, or someone thinking he will start in a 442?

He's in the squad. Not sure if he'll start though.

Keane has had the best 2 chances, put one wide and one off the post. Both should have been better. Cant see where a goal will come from at all.

I've watched 15 minutes of Armenia and Ireland and already can't wait for the Premier League to return.

Anyone know if VDV is starting for Holland? could end up with about 10 goals seeing they are playing San Marino.

According to the normally very reliable Guardian when it comes to these things.
