I went to the France game, absolutely woeful, the atmosphere was great though considering all that's happened in French football, 76000 people at the Stade de France.

My veiw on the England performance was that they did okay. I still think there's abit of work to do there and you gotta remember it was Bulgaria, but a good start none the less!

I thought Joe Hart looked excellant, i think finally we've found a quality keeper! (Well until he makes a mistake...)

Milner looked good too!

And also Defoe ;-) To score a hat-trick in any match is difficult, but in an International Qualifier thats one better!

Also i cant wait to see more from Adam Johnson. Im so happy we could finally have a decent left footed midfielder, something we've lacked for years. Despite the fact he plays for Citeh...

Switzerland will be a alot more difficult though on Tuesday.

Milner looked good????

He looked utterly shite. 24 million pound for him, makes Bales value at least 124 million.

The second half was much better, but we are still flat in midfield, with that 4-4-2 formation. The mount of times our forwards had the ball just ove the half way line and had to stop play so they had people to pass to was unbelievable.

Although I'm happy we have found a keeper in Hart, no problems there. Dawson - terrible injury, but he just doesn't look internation class at the moment. Johnson, another one who doesn't look international class.

Walcott, Milner and Barry - terrible.

Gerrard, can't fault him.

Rooney played a decent game actually, he seemed to settle for second best over Defoe, as in terms of scoring, and seemed happy to be provider, which Rooney can be good at, when he stops acting like a prima donna.

Defoe, showed why he should have played at world cup.

Overall, the 4-0 score massively flattered us, we upped it a bit in the second half, but the way we play is terrible. We are so flat, it's a surprise we even beat shit teams.

Capello really needs to take out many of the old guard, and start with a very different formation.

I'd suggest, something like 4 at the back, 2 holding midfielders, and then 4 out and out attackers/wingers, at least that way we'll have people ready to attack, rather than everyone sitting back.

I'd also take out Barry, and start playing someone like Hudd/Carrick/Rodwell, get some youth used to the role (carrick ain't youth), but you know what I mean.

All in all, it's just the same England, we'll have a good qualifying campaign in terms of results, but we'll get absolutely dicked in the finals, because we can't adapt and start beleiving we are world beaters after beating the likes of Bulgaria.

Anyone able to tell me why Clive "Massive wanker" Tyldesley kept saying Defoe was a controversial choice to start? I missed the first 20 minutes of the game, did he think Bent should have started or was he just criticising without having an alternative?

As far as I can see in terms of actual goal scoring strikers England have very little choice.

Disagree- thought he looked excellent and expect him to be a big player for England for many years to come. Worst player for me were Johnson who looks appalling at the moment and Walcott who just didnt get into the game at all. Everyone else looked decent with Gerrard, Defoe and Rooney the stand out players for me. I also hope that we soon see Huddlestone come in to replace Barry
