And the OP asks for feedback does he not?

I get that they are helping fund the site but most of these threads are pointless. I read through the first 4-5 pages of the Josh King one the other day, and there wasn't one single reference to the article. All it was was a debate on whether or not he would be good enough, which was already happening in the Summer transfer window thread.

I know they are trying to generate traffic for their site but, tbh I'd be surprised if many people that comment in the threads actually read the articles at all. From my POV if they want to bring people to their site they need to be coming up with something new that makes them want to read more. Not something that is already being debated to death in the forum they are advertising their content in.

The interesting thing about Football Whispers is their transfer index stuff and that's the added value we're expecting them to have for us. Outside of the window it's probably fair enough that the stories are somewhat speculative but I really hope once the transfer activity kicks off that their articles become much more interesting/relevant. We'll see how it goes.

Oh and we're happy for people to provide feedback (including negative). What I'm less happy about is people offering one-word responses to articles such as "no" without engaging in any discussion.

You are aware that they are part funding SC now so rob dosnt have to pay it all?

I'm completely aware. Hence giving them better ideas of things we'll actually want to visit their site and read about. If you Sponsored the labour party would you rock up on their forums and slate Corbyn and say how you think May's government are the better choice? Post things that we want to see and stop promoting the sale of our best players. Maybe even talk about where we can improve and look for replacements for under performing players like Sissoko etc.

What would be interesting is an opportunity for collaboration from some of our more tactically astute members on here and the football whispers team. Maybe an analysis of where this good team could improve over the summer and then suggestions from the Whispers team on who might provide the extra components that we need at the right price/availability?

As a backup yes but we're more likely to bring through Kyle Walker-Peters I would have thought. Bloody hope so anyway.

Hi All

In our latest Spurs-related article we've taken a look at Bournemouth right-back Adam Smith to see whether he is good enough for return to Tottenham.

With Walker's future up in the air there have been reposts that Spurs will promote Trippier to first-choice right-back and move for Smith to be back-up.

As ever, any feedback is appreciated.

Cheers,
Ryan
so now that i have actually taken a look at the article, a few thoughts:
1. good stat table --- useful
2. would be handy to have a guess at possible transfer price
3. connecting it to the debate around KWP

but a decent effort

Same quality as Nathanial Clyne, not as good as Kyle Walker.
He adds depth if we think Trippier can replace Walker as first choice.

I like Smith and didn't want to let him go in first place but not sure if same quality as Clyne who could be debated is better than Walker?
