Even if he is only hear briefly, he'll be a yid legend i'm sure. He's one of the first names on everyone's list.

I must admit I was dubious about signing him. He wanted to stay and we had to throw a lot of money at him, but he's worth every penny.

What a guy. My heart does go out to Wigan for losing him.

The thought of him waiting till a 'reasonable hour' to speak to Harry about his brother makes me love him. It just shows how much respect he has for the opportunity or gift he has been blessed with. A lot of footballers could/should learn a lot from him.

He is someone that appreciates life. Is priveledged to know the position he is in financially and how gifted he is. Type of player that will always remember his roots and thank his family / god for allowing to become what he has.

Someone that you just know would not get on the wrong side of anyone, and im sure everyone at spurs cannot speak highly enough about.

If only more people had his attidude towards life retrospective of their job.

Harry Redknapp has singled out Wilson Palacios for praise in helping to transform Tottenham Hotspur from relegation candidates to league leaders.
The Honduras midfield player, 25, who cost £12 million from Wigan Athletic in January, was signed ten days after Wigan had recorded a 1-0 home win over Spurs.
“Palacios has made a massive difference to this club,” the Tottenham manager said. “He gets on with it, he’s strong, he’s aggressive — he’s what Tottenham haven’t had.
“I always felt you could bash Tottenham up when they used to come to Portsmouth. We always felt you could get after them and beat them.

“I don’t feel that now. He has been a major part in changing that because he closes down and is strong. That has rubbed off on other people. You need people like him if you are going to be successful. He walks round like he is pleased to be here and appreciates everything.”
The Wigan defeat also prompted Redknapp to lose his temper and he is convinced that the team meeting he called at the club’s training ground has been highly beneficial.
“There came a stage last year where I had to sort it out,” said Redknapp, whose side hope to extend their unbeaten start to the Barclays Premier League season at home to Birmingham City today.
“They accepted it — they had to. The reaction the next game was what I wanted. Since that I have no reason to be unhappy with them. They have tried hard.”

I was at the Wigan v Spurs game just before we signed him. Had a spare ticket and took my Liverpool supporting mate, we lost 1-0 and he thought we were shite but he kept saying how good Wilson was and was impressed when we signed him 2 weeks later.
