Capel is not that good...he has a lot of potential, much like Lennon. Why is everyone excluding Lennon, he's been playing real well lately too.

And why on earth do people imagine we'd be able to sign Diarra after he's had just half-a-season at Pompey?

In any case, the guy's a total prick who's made it very clear he's only interested in playing for a really big club, because only a really big club is good enough for him. I doubt that we qualify.

Most important of all, it would go against our policy of not having any players with heads shaped like kidney beans.

Point missed

People wouldn't "cream over him" because he'd look ordinary at that level of spanish football and become a benchwarmer, as he lacks talent, not preparation to play there. Maybe you should use a different example

The Godfather of soul!

Bloody cool!

We ought to go for Wilson Picket, Smokey Robinson and Muddy Waters!

Now that would be a midfield to take seriously!

Hi guys,
sorry been away for 3 weeks with no internet!

Modric first of 4 biggie signings but none at moment to replace Berba.

Ramos feels if we show intent early he may stay.

Capel and Diaz/Jarque are goers together with one of Kameni,Samahanovic(or somethin) and the Italian GK Amelia.

We are also on the look out for a midfield enforcer.

we should sign thre kids within the next month.

We will aloow the following to leave

Rocha, Gardner, Cerny, Lee, Ghaly, Assou Ekotto, Stalteri for next to nothing together with Tanio, Robinson, Kaboul and Chimbonda whom we will look to bring in money for.

Ronaldhino is a dream but never say never. Eto is far more realistic but he may go to Ar5ena1!

Ill bring you more now im back

This rang a bell........ding dong

None of these 5 are targets at all and BAE isn't on the departure list.

Yeah, I'd not be happy to see Kaboul go. I'd rather Daws went

I'd rather neither went. We should just leave the central defenders as they are. We don't need to get rid of any or bring any in.

We just need goalkeeper(s) and defensive central midfielder(s).

Can someone tell us the realistic chance of us signing Lassana Diarra? I didn't really rate him untill I got the chance to watch him closely against City last week and Blackburn this week, and all I can say is his composure is fantastic. No one could get the ball off of him. Very quick-thinking indeed, and his long-ball distribution is amazing.

I know his name has been thrown around, and I've heard from somewhere (I'm assuming it was here), that he might be part of the Defoe deal. So what's the chance?

I think it's totally wrong to dismiss Kaboul after just one season at the age of 21 when he was thrown in at the deep end, is clearly a talented Footballer, and has scored more goals than some of our Midfielders, and who will learn how to defend better in the PL with more experience. He's also a lively bubbly character and IMO needed in the ranks as some of our players look positively morose at times.

I guess Ramos isn't perfect.

You wonder then why the bluescum and Ar5ena1 didn't make better use of him if he's that good?

I can see why Arsenal didn't use him. Gilberto and Flamini are both immense DM's.

Neither do chelsea or arsenal apparently so how big does he want? I think he was just making the point that "Really big club" didn't include Pompey.
So who counts? Real Madrid? Barca? Man Utd? can't help thinking he may be spending a long time on the south coast.

Because Chelsea have Makelele and Mikel - the best, and probably one of the future best defensive midfielders in the world, not forgetting Essien.

Arsenal had intended to use him more, but Flamini was a surprise package in the first half of the season, he was absolutely instrumental.

Diarra is one of the best and most disciplined midfielders in the country and Pompey got a bargain at £5m.
