Hi guys,
sorry been away for 3 weeks with no internet!

Modric first of 4 biggie signings but none at moment to replace Berba.

Ramos feels if we show intent early he may stay.

Capel and Diaz/Jarque are goers together with one of Kameni,Samahanovic(or somethin) and the Italian GK Amelia.

We are also on the look out for a midfield enforcer.

we should sign thre kids within the next month.

We will aloow the following to leave

Rocha, Gardner, Cerny, Lee, Ghaly, Assou Ekotto, Stalteri for next to nothing together with Tanio, Robinson, Kaboul and Chimbonda whom we will look to bring in money for.

Ronaldhino is a dream but never say never. Eto is far more realistic but he may go to Ar5ena1!

Ill bring you more now im back

The midfielder enforcer is definitely needed because we cant depend on zokora to do that job.Even with those proposed signings I think the squad is still not good enough for a top four challenge.

We're after Jarque too! That means we'll end up with possibly an entirely new midfield next season!

Kameni

Hutton Woodgate King Bale

Modric Jarque Diarra Capel

Berbatov Keane

Not that I'm complaining mind!

Jarque is a defender.

Nothing too surprising there. I would have hoped we could have got a fee for some of those players, but the January window showed that the priority was to trim the squad rather than maximise income from player sales.

Not so sure about Eto'o being realistic.

Interesting that Archibald has none of the current first team in the frame to leave.

No! Why are you ousting Lennon?! I'm gonna have to start a thread in a minute.

Darn it, I knew someone would quote me before I got time to amend it!

I was getting him muddled up with Gonzalez (which is odd as I know Jarque is a centre back for Espanyol!).

Now amended although would be cool to get Gonzalez too but maybe I'm just being greedy!

Modric I believe is right footed? Personally I've had enough of right footers playing on the left so only place I could think he'd play.

UNLESS, he is strong enough to play in the middle in which case...

Kameni

Hutton Woodgate King Bale

Lennon Modric Diarra Capel

Kinda goes against Ramos' seeming policy of having two wide attacking players and a strong central spine.

Plus DC Boy will cane me for dropping Jenas! I just can't seem to win sigh... :-|

We shouldn't sell Kaboul or Robinson IMO. If the new keeper is a complete failure who the hell do we play?

This is of course assuming Robbo accepts being no.2 for at least a season.

Is this the same Robbo who apparently couldn't accept being no.2 for like, one match?

If he's happy to do that and we kind find anyone else, then bleh. But I'd rather just get two new keepers. I don't think we should let Kaboul go though.

I think we were his 'favourite' club when he was at Mallorca and a move to us was on the cards (and at that time seen as a desirable move for him)

I remember him being quoted in the press (correctly or not dont know) around the time Henry was being first linked to Barca as saying what a great club Ar5ena1 and what a pleasure it would be to play for them.

So I would certainly not rule out a move to Ar5enal, indeed I think if he had a straight choice (with all things being equal, money etc) between us and them he would be off to them before we even had our say.

Lennon must stay. He really is class. Imagine next season with a left winger and Modric in the side - that's two skillful players who will take up the opposition's attention - let's face it most teams don't put two men on either Zokora or Jenas whereas Lennon always has a couple of players bearing down on him. With other exciting talents in the side, he will get more space.

Didn't PLTuck's mate say that Ekotto couldn't be leaving because he's injured. I would think DC would block his and Kabouls transfers.

Not true - he plays equally well with either foot, so playing a central role where he can move to either side of the pitch will be a real asset.

I'd prefer we give Kaboul a bit longer and perhaps loan him out for a season in the way Real Madrid do.

I've just got a feeling he could turn out to be a very good defender and we may regret being so hasty with him.

Is that confirmed though as some people are saying that, others are saying he is very right-footed.

Conflicting info I think on here from different members as only very briefly popped into COYS and didn't read that much on there...

Would be great if he is both footed, still want a left winger though as greedy!
