Benny McCarthy was denied a move, perhaps Blackburn would have learnt that an unhappy player isn't worth the risk if they don't perform.

Or Cruz will learn from McCarthy that if you lose form becasue of sulking you soon find the offers dry up.

Blackburn are not in a position to take these sort of risks.

There has been no indication that Santa Cruz wants to leave though. He seems pretty happy at Blackburn, where as Benny McCarthy got a bit too big for his boots. I think Santa Cruz is just enjoying playing regular football and if that is the case then Blackburn will ask for a lot of money for him.

By all accounts Santa Cruz loves it at Blackburn... remember reading an interview with him where he was amazed that all the taxi drivers knew who he was and everyone in the area was really nice and welcoming!

As people have said, he gives the impression of liking being the big fish at the small pond!

Yeah and also he has been getting niggling injuries all season, and has also now maybe realised it won't get any bigger than Blackburn so has signed a new deal. I can't see Blackburn getting rid of both their top scorer in Santa and their best player in Bentley. One will go but i think it will be Bentley

We need a Torres like striker to lead the line to partner Berbs if he stays. Bent can do that, but he's not the quality we need in terms of skill and Keane lacks the pace and strength of a Torres. Maybe we could fuse Bent and Keane into one striker.

HH is a bit of an unusual case. He was spot on with Bent, because he knows the family personally. Not sure how ITK he is with anything else, unless he hears something through them, but as far as I recall it is just Bent.

Yeah, I think he hears stuff via Bent's family too, which seems to be accurate (he replied to another ITK about Lennon saying as far as he's heard, he's going nowhere). If he doesn't know, he doesn't comment. Seems the most level headed un-power / glory hungry ITK around.

BEN is difficult because he mixes up what he's heard with his own opinion.

But quite a few 'young gun' ITK's are coming out now so I guess it's going to be a pretty bust summer. We've been linked with pretty much every La Liga player who even hints that they may move, and the season hasn't even ended yet (allegedly!)
