Skimmed from COYS apparently originating from Archibald on SO:

Obviously Kaboul is 100% goin.

Potsmouth have offered 5m but he wants to go back to France.

Tarrabt handed in a transfer request last week but was told to wait till the summer but we want to keep him.

Bordeaux are desperate to sign him as now in Champs league and Laurent Blanc has been in touch

Presumably Laurent Blanc hasn't been in touch with Archibald of SO.

That wasn't quite the impression I got from Kaboul's interview. He said he missed Ligue 1, but loved the atmosphere at EPL games.

It's really not a great surprise that Taarabt is disgruntled, is it?

Just saw this too--does anyone think we'll take 5 for him, that would mean we'd take a loss right? If he stays in the EPL I fear he may come back to bite us in the arse...

Taarabt going too--seems like we are loosing the young ones which is a bad sign IMHO. I don't think Taarabt or Kaboul ever really got a fair shake...

57, wot the 'ell is a 'rumour ranger' anyway? A ranger who rangers rumours? :)

I think the Modric signing could be good for Taarabt, if we start to play a system that fits Modric then if for some reason he cant play then Adel could step in. I find it slighty strange he hasnt been given a start since the cup final, but i sure Ramos knows more than me.

To tell truth, I'm not really sure, as I haven't received my self-destructing tape recorder yet. It's a step up from being a Rumour Arranger, I'm told.

As for Kaboul, he's put us in an awkward position with his interview, the idiot. Levy certainly won't want to take a £3m loss, that's for sure. Taarabt… Well, of course the arrival of Modric means he's been shunted further back down th queue.

Kaboul's interview wasn't that bad at all. Not when translated.

I hope we hang on to both (Kaboul definately has ability and I'm sure if we give Taarabt a few years he will learn how to pass to a team mate)

Obviously not ready yet, but i have a feeling if we let Taarabt go it would be a mistake.

to be fair to Kaboul, it looks like the interview been made to look worse than it was. Also it is perfectly understandable that he is frustrated atm, he is the French U21 captain and has seen a midfielder played ahead of him in his natural position, he is right to feel upset, I know I would be

I believe near enough everyone who isn't satisfied with just collecting a paycheck would react this way, though obviously it would have been better had his feelings been kept in house. This is taking it that he is fit though.

He is still adapting to the EPL and as soon as King was rested for the rest of the season he should have been getting games, similar thing has happened at LB, with O'Hara being prefered over natural LB's in Lee and Gilberto, Lee I am pretty sure will be sold as it is clear he is not rated and though I don't like it, Kaboul will probably be sold aswell, as Zokora is rated higher at CD it seems

Taarabt is a bit different situation for me, on the one hand he should get games as the results are not as important now and its a perfect chance to start him, but on the other hand he is still raw, doesn't always play for the team etc

I can see why fringe players could be upset atm, with our season over it is the perfect chance to play them, players like Bent, Kaboul, Taarabt even KPB ( who I don't rate that high ) have patiently waited for a chance and even a couple from the youth teams on the bench like Rose would have been nice to see.

I think we have wasted the last half a dozen or so games with near enough the same standard lineup, we have learnt nothing apart from all 3 strikers playing hasn't worked :-|

I think that possibly a lot of the “young potentials” may well have been signed on the promise of some 1st team action, using Lennon as an example. Of what can be achieved by “young potentials” IF they sign for Spurs…Now, correctly or incorrectly, they may well feel that it is not the case, and so are a little unhappy…So, perhaps, it may not be to surprising if some want to leave..If the above scenario is a semi correct hypothesis, I would then expect the likes of Ramos and Gus to sit down with them (in the summer) and say how it is, Basically, We don’t believe you can cut it at Spurs, or we can see a future for you, you need to work on xyz 1st.

Taarabt has done jack shite apart from moan, and kaboul has made a series of blundering errors. Get rid, put the money in the pot for some players Ramos wants. These players are Jol/Commoli's players, if ramos wanted them, he would be playing them in these meaninless games now.

B-C, I assure you it was. Those criticisms won't have gone down at all well.

Kaboul is the French U21 captain and dont forget this, his first season in EPL (has scored 4 goals). He may have made a couple of mistakes (not as many as Dawson it should be said) but has also shown in games his potential "Get Rid"-what are you on.

Kaboul, Boateng and Taarabt need time simple. If anything a loan might be a better option for one of these players.

not 100% on topic and im sure many of you have seen this:

AC Milan's Gennaro Gattuso wants to join a Premier League club. (Various)

I know a lot of people have mentioned him before, more of a possibility than we realised..?

i agree with that. i would like to see all three get a proper chance, but if ramos isnt comfortable with that then loaning them out would be a good way for them to get experience and judge whether they can cut it.

I'd be dissappointed if we let any of our youngsters leave. KPB, Kaboul & Taarabt need more time and frst team appearences. Now when the season is winding down they should be starting

Be a shame to see them go if they do - mais c'est la vie

it'll displease Levy big-time to sell Kab at a loss - wonder how that will pan out

certainly, as I've been saying for months now, a new CB is one of our priority positions, this info reinforces that

Taarabt should have been loaned out a long time ago for proper experience. I just can't see him ever really finding a starting place at Spurs tbh, especially with the arrival of Modric as well as the supposed 4/5 other big signings.

In some ways it would be a great shame to see these two leave as I think we all had high hopes for both of them. It does seem to be too early to get rid, particularly in Kaboul's case when we spent so much money on him.

However at the same time both have massively failed to cover themselves in glory. Kaboul, rather than just making the odd error, to me looks like he is constantly in the wrong position which is very worrying. He just looks like he still doesn't entirely know how to play as a centre back and I don't think that can entirely be put down to the age-old excuse of having to adapt to the English game. Add to that the fact that his distribution is woeful and it's sometimes hard to see where the potential is. But he is excellent in the air and when he's in the right position people rarely go past him and I think in that respect he's got the edge over Dawson.

Taarabt is just an enigma wrapped in a mystery shrowded in an enigma. His skills are there for all to see but he just doesn't seem to be learning, or even trying to learn, to play as a team member. And before people jump on me and say he hasn't had the chances, by all accounts in the reserves he's exactly the same. He hasn't made a massive name for himself in the reserves and you have to wonder whether if he hasn't made the step up there whether he'll make the step up at all.

Ultimately I don't think there's a huge amount of value in selling either and both should be given another year. But I wouldn't be hugely disappointed to see either leave.
