Oh that's alright then. Fucking embarrassing the way people have been behaving but yeah a winking emoji means it's all a joke rather than just people acting like fucking ****s.
Says the person calling people ****s. ?

I want to be honest here. England are a good Semi final team. Tonights game was at that stage for England as they hadnt played teams that gave them/deserved a final place. Demark is quater final game and Italy a semi. Italy beating Belgium then Spain warrented a final. I know this sounds odd but its all about achieving each stage and performing. England didnt perform playing in a Final, they werent battle hard for it.

Absolutely. This shit needs to be regulated.

People should always be accountable for their actions.

That’s a fine approach in our society, unfortunately it wouldn’t work in societies where there are oppressive regimes where any posts in opposition or against those in power would put that individual in extremely hot water. In these places, anonymity is essential to ensuring the populous is not completely silenced at least. This has always been the excuse used by social media companies anyway, whether they could adopt different policies for different countries I don’t know how viable that is

Gutted tonight. Was like watching Spurs too much last season, score and sit back.

Southgate fucked up tonight, but he's done a lot of things right the last few years, and certainly should be in charge for the WC.

But what an opportunity :grumpy:.

Anyone else think Mount is really overrated?
I think he’s been really good for Chelsea this season but he’s been poor throughout this tournament. He’s in the team because Southgate can rely on him to help the midfield 2 defend. That is at the heart of Southgate’s problem; players defensive qualities are what he’s most interested in, we play most of the time with 7 defense minded players. We started today basically with 8 players who were in the team because of their defensive skills. At home in a final that’s not exactly throwing down the gauntlet or a ringing endorsement for attacking football.

Yup those penalties show this. Too much trying to be cute rather than being professional and just trying to score without the histrionics

With our squad I feel if Mancini was our manager we would have won comfortably. Our strengths were largely ignored by Southgate during this tournament And we have paid. I fear another golden generation wasted and this one really is good enough to win the top titles.

Despite progress in tournaments, we do truly play horrific football under Southgate, no hiding that, so annoying considering the players he has at his disposal. Ofc up to this point he can point to reaching a semi-final and a final to validate such tactics, but just feels v lucky to get to that point without any convincing, attractive football (bar the Ukraine game), against average teams/ lucky draws, would love to see how we would of faired against a Belgium or France who didn't get far. look at the line-up 5 defenders, and 2 dms, is that worthy of winning, winners look to exploit others rather than just contain

So true, you can argue man for man we have a stronger side, but one thing you cant argue is Mancini being a far more superior, positive coach

I don't find it horrific at all. There's beauty in England's technical superiority nearly ever time they play. There's beauty in how tactically precise and disciplined we are. There's beauty in not conceding a single goal in open play. There's beauty in Italy not really looking like scoring the whole game. There's beauty in trusting the team to not lose the game at the last.

I don’t use social media, this place is about as far as I go on the internet. But it seems to me that social media, while it’s unregulated in its current form, needs a significant overhaul in terms of accountability for content. That probably isn’t going to happen any time soon, not while governments are reluctant to do anything. So the only solution really is a mass boycott. If social media users organised themselves enough to stage a mass boycott of those platforms for a sustained period of time, things might change. Money almost always talks, far more than morality or decency. After all, social media companies want your attention and they want your data- take away both and their value diminishes massively. Watch the cynical fuckers act more assertively then

Serious questions have got to be asked though.

Why did Baddiel and Skinner write an English football song that could be so easily rhymed with Rome?

Im not sure. Mancini had two CBs who are the core strength of the team. Players who run endlessly and understand the way Italians and he thinks/plays football. Some England players are just not up for it. Mount and Saka and Sterling would not get a regular game imo, he just dosnt have the football dna.
