Poch openly complained in press conferences about Spurs holding the announcement of Gazzaniga for PR reasons. Maybe we will "Gazzaniga" Clarke, especially if Ndombele is only a day or two away from signing, but if the club follow Poch's opinion they will announce him first.

Yeah he saw it as disrespectful to the player. I think we'll announce Clarke this week irrespective of what's going on with Ndombele (announcing this week looking unlikely on current ITK).

Didn’t we hold off on announcing Gazzaniga because the club didn’t want the first transfer of the summer announced to be the free transfer of a, at the time, third choice goalkeeper when we were already deep into the window. Genuinely wouldn’t surprise me if they waited until after Ndombele to announce Clarke purely because it’s been so long since we announced anyone.
