Looks to me that he’s a right footed right winger who can also play on the right? (from transfermarkt).

Will be interesting to see if this works out and hopefully same level of success as the last young raw winger we purchased from Leeds. ;-)

Probably still took the same time, we just hear about the deals, or potential deals a lot earlier

Indeed. Because of social media and the ability to get news right this second, the wait feels longer but in actuality it is probably about the same.

Who gives a shit what they say?!!
Jack Clarke might.

Bill Nicholson signed Jimmy Greaves for £99,999 so he wouldn’t have the pressure of being the first £100,000 player in England.

Likewise the club may well not want Clarke to have the pressure of being the first first team signing for 2 years.

Feel sorry for the 2 youngsters we have signed that no one cares about...

Ah I remember the days when we could loot talented Leeds players for around 1 mill each (Robinson, Rose, Lennon)... Those were the days

This is actually a really good inflation marker for the football transfer market. Clarke is costing 1000% more. 12 years ago Ndombele would probably have cost about £6M as a 22 year old playing in the French league (assuming the inflation of 1000% is accurate). A decade prior to that , Arsenal signed Viera and Petit for a combined £6M.

Hope we're all ready for a Dele-esque first season from Clarke :sneaky:

Seriously though, hope we don't put too much pressure or expectations onto him this season - he's still very young. Younger than Dele was when he moved to us. Hopefully he settles nicely and I trust Poch to bring the best out of him.

If your good enough your old enough Clarke will get a whole pre season which will help him settle in that much quicker . No reason why he can’t get minutes in the coming season now

Just wondering is he the first player to sign for us without going beyond 100 pages even 50 pages?
