Nah, the player wants the move, the issue is likely not being able to get City to agree a fee. They will want a sell-on clause.
If we signed him and it went to tribunal - would that include a sell on clause anyway?
This is how I understand it.
If we agreed a fee then we wouldn't be including a sell-on clause.
If it went to tribunal then the fee would be set for us but would likely include mandatory sell-on clause.

Frankly, unless it's 15 per cent or something, who cares about a sell on clause?
If he's half way decent then we insist on netting off the sell on clause when he's sold, and it only becomes an issue if he's a success. No big deal
