Will be off to the super rich: PSG, City, Madrid etc.

Dream on if you think we have a hope in hell. :(

If we had AVB, we would have a chance, AVB has a reputation in the game.
Maybe a year ago, before he went to Monaco but even then Levy would never pay that much money for a 21 year old so it's a moot point. Quintero has all the potential to be as good, if not better, then James in a few years. He is available for around the same sort of price James was when he moved to Monaco, maybe even a little less, but I doubt we will even think about it. Sad thing is, Porto bought him for 5 mil euros only a year ago... We really missed out on that one.

Only in England TBH, he's very well respected throughout the rest of Europe.

I don't think that's true, I haven't noticed the Spanish press waxing lyrical over him, he basically had one good year at Porto a team with an exceptional scouting network that have dominated Portugese football for over a decade

If he was so respected it seems strange he has ended up in Russia and not in charge of a significant team in La Liga, Serie A or BL

Fair enough, but IIRC he was strongly linked with the Barca job by Spanish papers prior to Luis Enrique's appointment.

Doubt he was ever in the running, but he was linked to quite of few jobs in Europe.

In reality there is really only 4/5 other clubs in world football that could go after him, and i doubt Monaco would sell to PSG.

Yeah coaches like players get linked with clubs, but like with players it's often their agents at work rather than any real club interest. In Spain it was pretty much accepted that Enrique was the coach Barca had lined up, however most sports papers will run any old rumour if they need a few column inches.
I'm sure there are a number of European clubs that have AVB on their list to keep an eye out for in case they need a new coach, but I imagine it's just that at this stage-a watching brief-to see if he can ultimately develop and show he has learned from experience
