...and how do we know this?Modric, Bent and Co should be ashamed to refuse to take a pen and put the pressure on Ohara.
Modric doesn't seem to back down....even took them for Croatia in the EC

Never should have taken the first penalty, never should have came really
So, just like last year he had a big impact in getting us there but never played.
Ramos did what was best for the team not what was best for the player
Really proud of this guy tonight!
I was so impressed with his work rate the other night against Shakhtar, I really feel he should have started in place of Jenas for the CC Final.
When he did come on he was fighting right until the end, and his tears at missing the penalty just go to prove his commitment and his genuine passion for Spurs.
Well done Jamie, proud of you son, and I hope every other Spurs fan is too.
I beg your pardon? The exact way in which you've phrased your post shows your complete bias against Jenas, regardless of how he plays.
Yes, O'Hara did alright when he came on and yes he closed down a few players and was generally okay.
But, in no way was he a touch upon Jermaine Jenas yesterday who actually ran himself into the ground and with the help of Zokora, who was also excellent, really outfought Gibson and Scholes in the middle of the middle of the field.
Jenas has his critics, and in my opinion that criticism is sometimes warranted as he is far too inconsistent in how well he plays and he often only seems to raise his game when against the big guns. If you hold that against him (and I can see that you do, but I'm not going to start a debate on that now) then fine, whatever.
However, if you cannot appreciate the amount of effort he expended yesterday then I don't know what else to say. I mean he not only outran the rest of the team but was also always available in support of an attack when we went forward, constantly closing down the opposition and always putting in (last-ditched) tackles when required.
By all means praise O'Hara, but don't lay into JJ just for the sake of doing so. A little less selective viewing would be appreciated. Thanks.
Fair play to O'Hara, he put himself in the firing line by stepping up to take that penalty. Heart of lion that fella and if we had more players with his attitude we'd be a bit further up the league.
I hope he gets another chance for some Spurs glory as he really deserves it.
