The good PR will happen whenever its announced and right now it's not needed, but say we were unsuccessful in signing a CB, then good PR of our best CB signing a new contract would be beneficial.
Which, if he has signed a new contract and is committed to staying (which recent quotes suggest) is a good thing considering we are also looking for a CB as those teams are less likely to rival us if they think there is a chance they can get a choice higher up on their list.
