Martial being linked with a move to Sevilla.
Would love him here, no chance of it happening though

Isn't it agonising how we get gazumped for players like this? He could have avoided all that pain and misery by joining us.Would love him here, no chance of it happening though
well, swapped this pain and misery for a different kindIsn't it agonising how we get gazumped for players like this? He could have avoided all that pain and misery by joining us.
We weren't 'gazumped', we came nowhere near to signing him because Monaco wanted over £50m lol.Isn't it agonising how we get gazumped for players like this? He could have avoided all that pain and misery by joining us.
Yes and no, and that's the way I meant it.well, swapped this pain and misery for a different kind
Was he not available for something like £18m earlier in the summer but Mr Brinkmanship was giving them his best poker face? Anyway, the point I'm making is that it can feel like we miss out on some players not once, but twice. Once when they opt for a rival, and twice when it doesn't work out for them but that rival won't sell to us. Oh, and once they've tasted ridiculous wages at that rival, they won't go anywhere that pays less, even if they have to play for a shitty team as a result. We weren't 'gazumped', we came nowhere near to signing him because Monaco wanted over £50m lol.

Tevez deal is done
Papers say 615k a week.
Yep, he grew up idolising.. er...Apparently it was always Tevez's dream to play for his boyhood club, Shanghai Shenhua, the team he's supported since he was a small boy. Nothing to do with the money, obviously.

it's a lot of money though! Shanghai is a cool city, too.

At the other end, Juan Veron (41 years old now!) has come out of retirement to play for Estudiantes for free. He is also their chairman, financed the building of their new stadium while he was playing in Europe and said if fans bought 65% of the exec boxes at the new ground, he would return to play.. they did, so he has.
...According to Mendes.Chinese club have bid €300m for Ronaldo and offered him over €150m a year salary...
Yep, definitely. Oscar is a bit different but it's an exciting time.. they are bringing in limits on foreign players and investing in youth, but for now they need big names to draw crowds (which are relatively low).I don't get all the hate some players get when chasing big wages in China. 600k a week at 32 years old? Fucking fair play to him imo.
