It's funny that there seems to be a core of players that will follow the money regardless of where it's from. Can't say I blame them, just sayin

He was meant for Juve but Zenit were making it difficult. Maybe the only way is to get a huge chunk from Tianjin and then when he gets upset in a year, he can go to Juve..

I don't get all the hate some players get when chasing big wages in China. 600k a week at 32 years old? Fucking fair play to him imo.

Those wages are utterly obscene for a man who is already a multi multi millionaire. If he wants to satisfy his ego that way it's his business but greed is making the whole game unpalatable for a lot of people, and Tevez is greedy. Unlike many, I was quite pleased when Leicester won the EPL, not for their minority of scummy supporters, but for the decent ones and for football in general.

So blame the Chinese, I'd do exactly the same in his shoes.

I get where you are coming from, but at 32 yo, his international career basically over and no real chance of starting for a CL team, it really is a no brainer. Just because you have a great deal of wealth already, doesn't mean you will turn down a deal like that.

Having said that, if his family being unable to understand the lingo was one of his reasons for disliking Manchester, China is going to have him in tears!

Would you really though. Would you take your family to a totally foreign country and culture, disrupt your kids education, move thousands of miles away from friends and family in order to fill up your bank account with money you have absolutely no need of? I wouldn't. Sure I'd go there for £615k a week in my position, but I'm not utterly minted and made for life.

The thing that surprises me is Tevez has chosen to play in Argentina where I assume he is on less money than some of the other interested club would have offered.

He has openly said in the past he would miss an international tournament if not getting first team football as he would rather spend the time with his family.

This sentiment gets him hate from football fans but is not the behaviour of a mercenary.

I wonder how long the Chinese season will be. My assumption is his family will stay in Argentina.

Don't blame Tevez, or any of the other players, for being greedy when nobody is forcing teams to make those offers.

If someone offered you something comparable in your work - you would be mad not to consider it.

My point was that, unlike most of us, Tevez (one can assume) has absolutely no need for more money than he already has.

How do you know? That money can go on for generations and could feed his kids, grandkids, great grankids etc.

I don't suppose the future generations of the Tevez household are in much danger of going without even before his Chinese move. He'd probably be doing them a disservice by setting them up to not have to look after themselves also. I wouldn't want my kids to expect to be able to put their feet up for their whole lives.

''Probably" You're just speculating and tbh you're basing these assumptions on what you would do, everyone is different. You can't say that it's too much money for one person because you have no idea of their lifestyle or their wealth and you have no idea how they plan to spend it.
