There are plenty of those on here who don't know much about playing the actual game. I am not going to comment much on Jenas because I am not a fan either. I played in the same position he does and I am telling all of you now that he isn't good enough to occupy the central midfield position of my beloved Lilywhites. I was over the moon when he first signed for us but he has disappointed me too much in the past for me to get excited over his contributions to the goals.

That's seems to be a constant feature in any discussions about Jenas.

Leave the past in the past where it belongs.
I don't care what he did last year or the year before that.
I only judge ANY player on current form and in football you are only as good as your last game.

I am only concerned about this season and the next game coming up and on current form Jenas is one of our best players in midfield and deserves a place in the team.
If he isn't doing a good enough job then he should be replaced and someone else given a chance.

There are a number of supporters on here that will never acknowledge the worth of JJ to the team and the squad. The long article on him that appeared in the last few days says that he had been carrying an injury for over a year and has only really got fit again this season.

Thank god the best season we had in ages. His injury last year can't be used as a reason for him being so wasteful on the ball for the previous 4 years.

What people forget about JJ is that he's been having pain injections for a long time

He's free of that now and funnily enough playing a lot better

This is your season JJ - show your skills!!!

I read this the other day and hopefully the fact that he's sorted out his problems now will lead to him having his best season for us.

I thought he played well against Inter. He got in some excellent tackles, played some good passes and kept running for the whole game. Obviously he made a few mistakes - he lost his man for the goal, and lost possession a few times - but overall I was impressed by him.
