Trawling through several pages of threads on Spurs Chat, no mention has been made of Jenas, who usually receives alot of stick. He didn't cover himself in glory as Captain under Ramos, but last night v Arse I thought he had a great game and deserves some credit from the Fans!

He made some really hard tackles, lead by example, showed alot of fighting spirit, and took his goal brilliantly well to bring us back to 4-3. It was quality play, and shows he has technical ability and is not just a great athlete.
Hopefully Harry can get his head right aswell, and he continues to produce performances like that for us again and again.

Aye, Jenas was sound. I think everyone's benefiting from the 4-4-1-1. Both Bentley and Bale drifted in to support Pav as well yesterday, which was something they would never have done under Ramos. It's all change...

Jenas always seems to play well against Arsenal.

He looked fired up in the tunnel before kick off, he played great, good to see him get the goal.

Hi Lily,

I thought Jenas had a bit of a bad game to be honest, but took his goal very well. I have been pro-JJ his season, but he was largely anonymous.

I think we have all been looking through white and blue tinted glasses, but I think we played poorly in general; our ball retention was terrible; our full backs were shocking as well. We had our first corner in the 91 minute or something like that. We couldn't defend and only our CBs, Huddlestone (for the first 70 minutes) played very well, or soo i thought.

On the back of the performance we had no right to score four girls, but I guess that's where fighting spirit gets you. COYS.

He's been given more of a holding role in the last two games to try and allow Hudd and Modric to play their game. And he's done it very well.

I thought he did well last night considering Hudd was bypassed all to easily and his workrate really showed.

Quality goal as well...although to be honest with his goal record against the scum I'd have been disappointed if hadn't scored.

He's generally always up for the big games, I thought he put himself about well last night and his goal was a different class.

If you watch the game back again, he was harrassing their players right up til the end, especially for his goal. The kid never stops running and it was through his determination we got anything from this game.....

Whoops...I must be the only one who was getting frustrated with him! Did he ever play a forward pass? I also felt that on numerous occasions he ran with the ball and got dispossessed because he refused to release the ball forward...

That's just my opinion, though.

His fitness levels are incredible. His goal was nothing short of exceptional as well, to make that run in the 89th minute, and produce that kind of finish with your wrong foot is superb. 2nd best goal of the night

Absolutely...

Just watch the previous 5 mins of play before his goal, he was up and down chasing and pressurising whilst other spurs players stood and watched. Then he has the energy to carry the ball towards the goal and finish like that.

Great stuff JJ, real captains moment

I thought he did well, his goal was top notch. If Harry can get him playing to the best of his abilities on a consistent basis we will have a very good player indeed.

However, there have been so many false dawns with JJ. If he can put in another good performance against Liverpool then we may be in luck.

I guess we all got to see last night a J.J. that M.J., Juande Ramos and Capello have seen all along whilst we fans, as usual, have been overtly critical of every move he makes.

What a most sensational and exciting goal last night....to leave Clichy wailing on the ground and then to strike it like he did with his LEFT foot !!!!!!!

In my opinion, almost as good as Bentley's goal of the season.

What a game, what a night, what a BUZZ .................after so much dross.

When JJ plays like this it reminds everybody how good he is. Since the first time he played at Forest I thought he was capable of playing that role. Please keep it up JJ.

JJ's goal was less attractive than Bentley's but of greater quality IMO. Bentleys goal came after a great strike but it was also lucky and Almunia made a mistake. JJ's goal was quality through and through.
