Yes just came to post there is 100% truth in this. He's someone we've been looking at for a while. He's very highly rated ??

If he’s half as good as his brother we should do all we can to sign him.

Got to be honest though, if I was a young prospect I wouldn’t sign for Spurs with Conte as manager.

Well Udogie did, he might be our starting left wing back next season. Maybe footballers have belief in their own abilities and shouldn’t worry about if a path exists. Plus he’s 17 with barely a start in pro football, by the time he’s ready Conte probably won’t be here. We’re not just buying old men anyhow, most of the signings we’ve made have been under 25 last few years. Just because Spence hasn’t been given a chance doesn’t mean every young footballer won’t under Conte.

Can’t see him joining unless he has a clear pathway to the first team.

Which would be very unlikely under Conte.
Perhaps we've told him he can go back to Birmingham for a year or two on loan. I doubt Conte is here in 2 yrs time.

This is vital for his development, he actually gets game time at Birmingham and playing for our U23s will be an absolute waste of time

Looks a very rangey midfielder in the mould of Sarr and supposedly as highly thought of as Jude.

Being brutally honest, i'm not sure we would be the ideal team to nurture his talents but maybe our recruitment policy MO will change and our approach to developing highly thought of talents.

Would love to see us start pumping some cash into the academy/younger players. We’ve done it with Lankshear, and thinking additions more along the lines of that transfer. Jobe’s going to be a larger fee than that one, but it’s something we desperately need to do to make the investment in the academy facilities really worth it. They don’t all need to be Udogie/Sarr-profile signings.

As a Spurs fan, it pains me to say that any promising youngster thinking of joining us should think twice. Look how many promising youngsters have made it when they signed for us. Is there anyone in the last 15 years beyond Gareth Bale?

Dele has to be considered a success.
