I think it has to be said (again) that all the armageddon scenario stuff being posted by thankfully pretty few SC'ers, you know..........stuff like this was done, that has to be the case and all that, is, right now, nothing but high octane bollocks.

There is nobody, repeat nobody on here who is familiar with the facts, knows about the laws or procedures, the ins and outs, none of it.

So if anything that you read worries you, don't let it. Wait for actual events and experts before basting your heads with duckfat and putting into the oven at 220 (190 for fan assisted)

Various reports suggest that holdings were transferred from Tavistock Group to the family trust last autumn. It is not the date the trust is established, it is when holdings are transferred.
Right - and a couple of points - noted by Ali Gold today - the change was not to the ownership of ENIC - it was actually to remove Joe Lewis from that portion of the family trust.

In October last year documents filed by the club with Companies House showed that Lewis was to no longer be shown as a 'person with significant control'. Instead two officers of the Lewis Family Trust were appointed in his place, Miami-born lawyer Bryan Antoine Glinton and British-born solicitor Katie Louise Booth.

Back then it was made clear that the move, simply a family trust restructure, did not change anything for Spurs on a day to day level as they had and continued to be owned by Lewis and the family trust and run by Levy.

However, 10 months on and the club are stating that ended up being anything but the case. The owner of Tottenham remains ENIC, but with majority control held by a family discretionary trust of which Lewis is not a beneficiary, although members of his family are.

Spurs have made it very clear that Lewis is to be called their "former owner" and a club spokesperson said on Wednesday: "This is a legal matter unconnected with the club and as such we have no comment."

As a result of Lewis giving up control on October 5 last year, he is no longer considered an owner or director under the Premier League test so what is currently happening in the USA has no impact in any way on the running or ownership structure of the club.

The ownership of ENIC passed to the Lewis Family Discretionary Trust in October last year and Lewis is not a beneficiary, meaning he no longer comes under Premier League rules, which bar owners who are being investigated by a criminal authority.

All those who keep asking mega rich Joe to stump up money to buy some overpriced player will have to stop , officially just like Man C & Chelsea it's now dirty money :)

Sure opposition fans will have a field day with this.

The irony is other clubs have or have had dodgy owners who put money into their clubs, we had a dodgy owner and the greedy git kept all the money for himself.

He was still the majority owner of Spurs when the crimes were committed.

Lewis, who founded the investment firm Tavistock Group, was charged with 16 counts of securities fraud and three counts of conspiracy, for alleged crimes spanning from 2013 to 2021.

Still doesn't have any bearing on us though. He is being charged with helping other people make money through giving them 'insider trading' tips. It's not directly related to how he makes his own money.

If you’re quick, you might be able to get a letter off to the premier league asking for a points deduction.

I think were safe :) , not sure if he ever put money into the club apart from that injection of money that increased ENIC's share capital for their benefit.

PL don’t seem to care. This won’t affect the club at all. What an ending for Uncle Joe, though.

But we'd be a disgrace if the owners were state funded or rich from Oil Money.....Hypocrisy.
It's completely different.

Everything that City & Chelsea have achieved in recent years/decades is a direct result of their owners pumping billions of their dirty cash into those clubs.

Regardless of where Joe Lewis' money comes from, little or none of it has gone towards helping Spurs.

I know it has no bearing on us but imagine the reaction here if this was Kroenke pleading guilty to this sort of thing.

I don't disagree! I'm talking about the morals and integrity of the owners of our football club. Thats come into question many times.
