Mourinho failed to get us back in the top 4, (not that this matters any more), so he failed in his mission. But Kane has done quite well out of the mourinho yeat(s).
The team was built around him, and the facts he can't lead the line like a no 9, nor can he close down effectively. We are sort of stuck with the low block and playing on the break, with others doing the running.
This will not change until Kane leaves/retires,. But Kane is scoring goals in record numbers.

Yet we saw how pissed off Kane was last friday, despite 2 cracking finishes. He hardly celebrated.
Was he angry as he knew Mourinho was going, and at the timing of it?
Was he angry as we were shite once again and knew however many he scored, we'd let more in?
Was he angry as he heard about the super league and knew he'd be a central figure, being captain of engerland?
Was he angry as he didn't like how we were set up?
Hey maybe he wasn't angry?

But I feel he was sending a public message and now mourinho has gone, so we can join the dots how we like, The 2 events are related, for me. You got to wonder if Kane pushed mourinho under his own bus?

I agree he had to go, but sacking him six days before the final seems suicidal, Love him or hate him, Jose knows how to win cup finals, and leaving him in place for one more week would hardly have affected our league fortunes in any way. This will leave us rudderless going into the final, City wont believe their luck.

maybe Jose has some say on that so he could keep his ‘won a trophy at every club he’s had a full season at’ record

Chris Hughton is my shout.

I had a conversation with my eldest son last week - CH is something to do with kids soccer at Cheshunt, he saw him at Cheshunt Stadium when my grandson Charlie played there last week. Might be hard to tempt.
