FFS we go out of our way to find shit to complain about don't we?

Authentic player shirts will always cost more because of the material, which is designed to enhance performance, is more expensive than regular polyester.

Frankly £20 quid more for the authentic is a good deal. If you want to buy authentic NFL or NBA jerseys here (in the US) they will cost £60-£90 more (at current exchange rates) than the replicas....which by the way are crap.

Flatters wouldn't it be a worthwhile investment to buy this so you could play in it for years without having to worry about spoiling your replica kit?

I'd only wear it next season, then ditch it. Besides, I'm still losing weight, so I'll probably get a smaller shirt halfway through the season.

Why not wear it indefinitely given that it's the only shirt designed to be played in that we've ever had? An out of date "real" shirt is better than the latest replica, surely

I wore my 07/08 home shirt once. It really is shit.

No one is forcing anyone to do anything, if you want a shirt buy one, if not don't bother. Why moan about it?

Until a few years ago I naively assumed that the players wore the same shirt as us. I think LYP made a comment to someone that this wasn't the case and I decided that I'd much prefer the real kit than some pale imitation, especially as the current one doesn't "wick" my sweat (of which there's plenty) as claimed.

Emperor K is correct, some of us actually want to play in the shirts we buy, in fact I play footie in mine several times a week. I actually never wear my top just out and about. My only concern is this seems to be short sleeve only. Long sleeves are great for mid-december games at near freezing temps. If I buy this, it means I'd have to buy the short sleeved black top which is less than ideal at night.Some chimbonda-esq gloves wouldn't go amiss either TBH......

What you said was different from that. That's a completely separate argument. Yes they should make a decent replica shirt (which they do mostly) but having the option to buy the players shirt is good thing

Because, hopefully, you'd be more comfortable playing in it than a replica shirt
