Why didnt kranjcar start last night? was he unfit or something?

Personally i think he is quality and one we need to keep happier with more starts!

If he isnt starting in the Carling Cup then he has no chance!

Something must be wrong with Niko, he has been seriously under used this season. I felt he looked very unfit and even slightly heavy when he come on against Wigan.

The guy just can't run, also got muscled of the ball by Wilshire which wasn't too impressive.

I'm thinking that perhaps Harry see's him as our super-sub for most games and good backup for his first choice. I don't doubt he'll get plenty of pitch time but, if it's contantly off the bench then he might start getting fidgity, that's for sure.

There's a rumour I heard elsewhere (sounds pretty unlikely I must admit) that he's annoyed we bought VDV

Maybe he saw himself as the ideal guy to play behind a striker?

Like I say, sounds unlikely, but I can't for the life of me:

a) explain his form this season, he's looked even slower and rubbish; and
b) understand why he didn't start last night. Crazy really

He was awful when he came on, and looks 1-2 stone overweight. His arse is massive.

There was some itk (can't remember from whom) that Kranjcar came back for the pre-season considerably overweight and unfit. Harry was said to be furious with him.

I was surprised he didn't start last night but, to be honest, he has been awful this season.

If he's not match fit he doesn't deserve to start. Yes he can be a great player, but if he's not putting the effort in on the training pitch then he will be lucky to be on the bench.

He looked pretty poor, like a man who hasnt kicked a ball for six months.

However, if there was a chance to get some match practice this was it, and Harry didnt pick him. Would have prefered to see him on the left than Bentley, even if he did play poorly, because at least he is used to that position, and Bentley could have played in his natural position on the right
