He had a good solid season at Norwich and is a better player than Smith. Doubtful that Charlie will return.

JJ - thanks for the update - can you confirm whether Naughton's contract runs out on 30 June 2013 ? If so, no doubt Spurs have offered an extension and its up to Naughton whether he stays : glad to hear he has had a chat with Redknapp on being on his plans - wonder if Naughton asked H about his rotation plans !

Agree re Smith - he is 3 years younger and would need developing versus Naughton who has a season's experience in Premiership with Norwich and is a shoe in as either fullback.

The only other factor is that Naughton is probably worth more now after a year's Premiership experience than he might be after a season being seen as back upfull back. Would you agree and could that be a factor ?

I'd like to think we'd keep Naughton this summer, with Corluka no doubt leaving, there should be game time for Naughton available.

not with Harry in charge, he will get little game time. that is my biggest gripe. if you not in HR "click" then rather move on. ask Rose, Kranjcar, Pienaar. Naughton will want to play and you are right in your thinking that he could a job BUT not under harry though.
