If Man U comes with 100m for Kane and offers him 250kpw, should the club sell?

Assuming Kane is same situation as Walker mentally.

Aside from the fact this is entirely the wrong thread, the answer is obviously no, we wouldn't sell our main man for that to a club notorious for buying who they want from us, whenever they want.

The bald man himself would tell 'em where to stick it.

I read that as Pochettino not being bothered about Walker leaving not that walker is free to go because he is unhappy...

That is not the same as the post I was replying to. You said "he is under contract and he should be made to honor it until the club decide he can go".

That is exactly how it is with this one. The club have decided he can go, simple as that.

You know it may not be a bad idea to keep Kyle until Christmas, get the CL league out of the way, we have good cover and if Alves is a fail at City then perhaps let him go then, just a middle ground thought.

I was thinking the same but then who would be available mid year if we were to replace him... it's normally a very limited pool of players and they are expensive.

If we think KWP just needs a few more months of integration then I'm OK with it but if we'll need to dip into the market mid season then it's a no for me.

@Bobbins if you seriously think we'd sell Kane for 100m then you're daluded.

In fairness he is probably alluding to the fact every player has his price so if the offer was a massive one then we would sell.
Obviously not this year but in another year or two who knows if the offer is too much to turn down, don't forget our business model is buy low sell very high.(y)

@shelfboy68 has already explained above, and Rob has already said this last couple of weeks that Levy was willing to sell Kane not long ago, at nothing like £100m.

Every player has his price and the moment they want to go, they will go, if the price is met.

Fair play to Man City. If you're going to troll, put the hard yards in and plan well in advance.

What am I on about?

Last year Manchester City ran a competition whereby some of their fans got the opportunity to ride in a taxi with Pep Guardiola. Cue lots of pictures on Twitter of said fans in a cab with Pep grinning away. Today is the 12-month anniversary of said taxi rides and one or two of the fans have been celebrating said anniversary.

This, in turn, has led Man City to retweet these anniversary tweets.

So why is this trolling of the highest order? Well, just check out the name of one of the winners...

  • Kyle Walker. I mean, what are the odds?

  • To be honest, if their planning was that good, then you'd have thought they might have, I don't know, actually started saving some money to afford Walker rather than just talking about in the press, but, still, fair play.

Of course everyone has a price, I don't doubt that for a second, and our business model hasn't exactly failed us in recent times has it?

Maybe I took bobbins rating too litterally, but I stick by what I said. 100m for Kane, in this market, right now would be fucking stupid, levy just wouldn't do it right now. And anyone who disagrees can go and wank off a cat ❤ haha.

Agree don't think he would sell now as levy is many things but stupid he is not, another 2-3 years maybe if he wanted to sell it would likely break world record fee.
Hopefully it won't come to that but it's always a levy option.

ok thanks for clarifying.

But then we should not strengthen City... thats my take. He can go but not to a title rival.

Again not just City in the mix! Still, ignoring that for a second just take into account that the club and MP know things regarding this that you don't. It's certainly not as transparent as it looks.

If we sold Walker for £50m, it would cost the same for a replacement of same quality. If it was so easy for City to buy any fullback for £50m then they would have done this. They've identified Walker, as he's currently the best around by a country mile
